LATROBE, Pa. — If Ben Roethlisberger's offseason troubles are bothering him during training camp, Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians certainly hasn't noticed.

Less than a week into camp, Arians' assessment of his quarterback is he's never been better.

According to Arians, Roethlisberger hasn't been in such good shape or thrown the ball as well during any of his previous training camps. He has yet to be intercepted during team drills, and Roethlisberger has gone entire practices without throwing an incompletion.

Next Arians will need to figure out what the Steelers will do offensively while Roethlisberger is suspended for either four or six games to start the season.

not that our defense was all that good at getting interceptions last year...

Let's pray that Lefty can move the offense. If the O is struggling it's going to be hell watching Ben standing on the sideline. Actually does anyone know if Ben is allowed on the sideline during his suspension? Or even in the booth for that matter?

From my understanding, no. From day one of his suspension, he can't be anywhere in the Steelers facilities. He'll be watching from his couch. Texting, I hope.

hmmmmm....Ben had a great year last year and now with a second accusation, he's performing better than ever. May be we do want him to be accused every offseason..........http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/sueincinci/Smileys/th_tap.gif?t=1280876727

We want to improve the running game, but we damn sure don't want to step back in the passing game," Arians said. "We want to have another 4,000-yard passer and two 1,000-yard receivers, and I don't care who they are. Now put the running game back to where it belongs, and I think we're pretty potent offensively."

He came to play with a chip on his shoulder. Good for us and bad for the opposition.

I just hope he can carry it over after his suspension. I hope he rips there ass this year so he can shut a bunch of people up.
