View Full Version : Steelers star Brown treats Clairton football team to an evening of fun

The Clairton football team is used to celebrating championships at this point, but that doesn't mean it gets old.
Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown joined the Bears Friday night at Dave and Buster's to commemorate their fourth consecutive PIAA championship.

"It's always good to touch base with the community and give back to those people that are doing good things," Brown said. "Show them that we're watching, rooting for them and bring them out to have a great day like this."
Brown was supposed to speak April 14 at Clairton's team banquet, but didn't show up due to an apparent schedule mix-up. Brown was at another event in his home state of Florida that day and said there was a "miscommunication from the people who work for [him.]"

After the confusion, Brown said it was important for him to make it up to Clairton. The Bears had dinner and played video games for a few hours Friday night, with Brown picking up the tab............

Part of the reason Brown felt so obligated to make up his first missed appearance to the Clairton players was the responsibility and standing of the Steelers in the Pittsburgh community, he said.
