Who wore #95 between Llyod and Jones? I don't recall any names, so I'm sure those shoes are not all that big.

Also, having a #91 Jones jersey would be a collector's item if he pans out well in the NFL.

Alameda Ta'amu had 95 last year.

A couple #Steelers (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/search?q=%23Steelers&src=hash) number switches: Ta'amu switches from 95-74; DeMarcus VanDyke switches from 30-23;

It seems like 12, 32, 36 and 26 should be unofficially retired numbers.

I agree, I'd add 58, and 59 to that list also.

A lot to live up to with that # as far as outside LB production. Let's not forget that this is only a fraction of the plays this cat made.

If all the numbers that should be retired were retired, there would be hardly any numbers left! The curse of having so many outstanding players through the years - a cross Steeler fans must bear, I suppose.

What about the numbers not issued? 16, 64 78 and 98. I see something happening come June 1.

One possible compromise: Retire numbers from that side of the ball. So no defensive player should ever wear 26 or 43 or 47 again, but we can still give those numbers to running backs. That would be a way to honor the greats while avoiding the problem of running out of numbers.
