Steelers: No more new contracts this season

If LaMarr Woodley and Ike Taylor are looking for new contracts, it's not going to happen anytime soon ... or anytime this year.
Steelers director of football operations Kevin Colbert said Monday that there will be no new contracts negotiated for the rest of the season.
"As an organization, we decided we're going to focus on 2010," Colbert said. "It's a Steelers decision."

Sorry, Steelers veterans. The team will not give out any more contract extensions this season.
Kevin Colbert, the Steelers' director of football operations, informed linebacker LaMarr Woodley, offensive tackle Willie Colon, cornerback Ike Taylor and kicker Jeff Reed -- all players entering the final years of their deals -- that no extensions will be done until the upcoming season ends.

"As an organization, we decided we're going to focus on 2010," Colbert said Monday.
The only extensions the Steelers have done this offseason were for Colbert, who signed a five-year deal last Wednesday and coach Mike Tomlin, who had two years added to his contract last month.

Nothing wrong with that. I always give huge props to Colbert. He's second to none.
This is how the Rooney's have always gone about business, and I agree with it.
