But wait ... I thought he sucked against the run, sucked against the pass, and never made a single good play in his life?

LOL.
I know. As I've said before, something changed when he came back to Pittsburgh. Sure he has weaknesses, but I'll take his usual solid performances over a flash in the pan every day.

#2 He didn't read the play he came over after the ball was away.

Pretty much. The games don't lie. Foote is a backup and nothing more.

You are entitled to your opinion.
I believe Foote is an asset to this team and earns his pay.

He is the playcaller and the brains of the defense... every team needs to have a player who can read offenses and instruct the defense what is happening and adjust the scheme on the fly. Farrior was the guy but got a little long in the tooth... now Foote is going to take the gauntlet and he's 6 years younger than Farrior. Sometimes wisdom does beat age... and I think every great team has to have those few players who sacrifice ability with smarts.

Footes another im not sure should just be awarded the Starters role and I expect ILB to be addressed as early as RD 2,

What a well crafted reply. Sorry, but I do not play for the Steelers. Besides, Foote has already taken the position of sucking against the pass. Have you watched any of the games or just highlights?

I believe Clark is the play caller, not Foote.

I doubt anyone is going to unseat Foote as starter this season, unless Sylvester has really turned a corner. Foote's suitable for one more year. You can't have Pro Bowlers at every position. I was hoping Pit might get McClain, but, of course, the Rats did instead. Hopefully Spence can be ready for the '14 season.
