Other than an early bye week (again), I like the schedule. At least there will actually be a good game to watch on Thanksgiving for once. :chuckle:

However, I don't like having to travel out west to the play the Raiders then having to play AT New England the following week...

Looking around the NFL, the Eagles have their bye week in week 12!

The raiders are not a good team

If the steelers lose again against the raiders, they have a serious problem(as the 2012 season)

I love finish the season vs Browns!

Third straight season we close with the Clowns.

I wonder how hard the Ravens whined to avoid opening their season against the Steelers.

Playing the Rats on Thanksgiving night...I think I will be wearing my Jack Lambert jersey to Thanksgiving dinner.

The Steelers have a tendency to play down to their competition and they're traveling out to Oakland. Not a good recipe for the Steelers.

Every freaking year we get an early bye. 3 out of the final 4 at home is good. Only one home game weeks 4 - 9 sucks. At least there's a bye in the middle of it.

My prediction is 10-6.

The only good thing I can say about yet another early bye is that at least it comes right after our game in London. Should be a good time to allow the guys to rest up. At this point, my regular season prediction is 10-6.

Week 4 game vs the Vikings will be a " home " game for us. There is no way there will be more Vikings fans than Steelers fans in London

Better yet, the game officially counts as a "road game" for the Steelers so they play only 7 games in the opponents home turf

Yeah, but, over the last few years, we've actually needed the early bye because of injuries. Hopefully that's not the case this year. I do like the fact that we have the bye the week after we travel, and actually think that it should be a permanent thing.

There better not be considering the times the vikings raided Briton (England). I mean don't football fans watch the History Channel?

Not a killer schedule, but not a cream puff one either. We could actually play some decent football and still be 4 -4 at the half way point. I'm convinced the timing of the bye is a red herring. I just don't see a pattern to prove that a team with a later bye has an advantage.

I am one of the few who actually likes the divisional games being pushed to the end of the season. I think it makes for a more meaningful finish.

I'll agree with most above. I say 10-6. And I think that will be about where the bungles and ratbirds will be as well.

...and the 2009 season.

If we lose to the Raiders again this year, I will have a fricken cow (I'll never hear the end of it at work).

Oh yea, and the Raiders have 2 weeks to prepare for us as they got a week 7 bye.

Good grief - - three days before Christmas at Lambeau!!!!! I will be there, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that my daughter's company will be able to come through with a pass to their company box... Heck, I am freezing in Denmark, WI today, with the winds and more snow falling and it isApril 19th!!!! Hopefully, we will have a day or two of summer before the game.....

I don't think the Raiders will even be a game for the Steelers. Yea...... they got lucky a couple of times but, we all know what's happening in Oakland. The Raider will be lucky to win 4 games this season, and I highly doubt the Steelers will be one of them.

Had to share that with Raiders fan here at work.
Last year, all I heard was "Week three Baby!"

"Week Eight Baby" has seemly already started, though not by him.

You have to like our chances when comparing schedules with the Ratbirds. Opening in Denver does Baltimore no favors and they also have Houston, while we get Tennessee and Oakland instead. Although, that game being in Oakland... gah, we can't blow another one against them, can we?!

With everything Baltimore has lost, I think Cincy might actually be divisional favorites heading into the season.

That's the easiest schedule we've had in years. Even an average team should go at least 11-5.

Never buy into whether a schedule is easy or not base on previous season. The first four games are a perfect example. Based on last year, we should go at least 3-1. However, if the Bengals don't fall back, the Bears and Vikings improve on last year (when they were better than expected), and the Titans turn things around (which wouldn't be a shock), we could easily go 1-3. We won the Super Bowl with one of the "toughest" schedules ever. And we have went 8-8 with what should have been an "easy" schedule.

I'll make a weather man prediction ( you know it will be between 78 and 88 on July 4th this year). I'll say we will win at least 9 and no more than 11 in the regular season.

9-7 or 10-6. The Raiders as mentioned and the Vikings are trap games to me. Maybe not the Vikings so much but I have a bad feeling about that game. Also won't enjoy eating turkey on Thanksgiving with nerves.

I don't subscribe to that hocus pocus. Ben has stunk @Oakland. This will be a loss.

Of course trap game for a Tomlin-coached team translates into a likely loss

Why would someone say a schedule is difficult other than basing it on previous seasons? My point was only that I have no idea if that is a hard easy schedule, because things change so quickly from year to year. Actually, they change month to month. Sometimes you play a team in October and they are much better or worse by December.

We could go 11-5, 9-7, or any other number. I am hoping you are right at 11-5.

I was just trying to keep positive thinking a healthy Ben and O-line is really all we need to outscore teams, and other than the Pats and Packers we don't face any offensive juggernauts.
