here are some scouting reports a friend of mine from rant sports put together , I will be listing more in this thread as he gets them posted up over the next several days ...

Count has been good enough to change the links into player names as they are posted to make it a little easier to see who you are clicking on before you actually click because some of the players are not players I anticipate the Steelers drafting or even having a shot at drafting .....

I think it would be easier to list the players and then hot link their names to the scouting reports.

Like this:

Tavon Austin (http://www.rantsports.com/nfl/2013/03/28/tavon-austin-2013-nfl-draft-scouting-report/)

Arthur Brown (http://www.yardbarker.com/college_football/articles/arthur_brown_nfl_draft_scouting_report/13212760)

Matt Barkley (http://www.rantsports.com/nfl/2013/03/31/uscs-matt-barkley-nfl-draft-scouting-report/)

Chance Warmack (http://www.rantsports.com/nfl/2013/03/31/alabamas-chance-warmack-nfl-draft-scouting-report/)

Thanks for doing the leg work D!

not a problem , Curt has been a friend for many years way back to the days of the Official steelers board ( part 1 )

he is a highly talented in player evaluation and ranks very high in mock drafts against the likes of Rich Goslin , Kiper , Mayock and such ( ranks in the top 25 in the nation with 5 year averages ) writes for rant sports and for many years headed Draftboardinsider ( lost his help there and with a few jobs and this on the side not enough time to keep it going ) he has been on espn local affiliates many times over with draft insight and podcasts ... figured I would share his knowledge with all of you ...

hope you enjoy them ( should be another dozen or so over the next 2 weeks if his time permits )

you can follow Curt on twitter @Nfldraftboard

Can't help you with the Mac. However, I would think it is more a function of the browser. Do you use Safari or ? I am not familiar with Safari, but most other browsers can handle these tasks.

The only other thought, try going to the full editor (Go Advanced) instead of just the quick reply screen.

Safety prospects that will strongly be in the mix draft day.

( note - Vaccaro will be off the board)

Most of the safety prospects need to be able to play in the box and back in the open field. Robert Golden will be the backup to Ryan Clark at FS. A future starting SS will need to be found.

My list

1. Jonathon Cyprien SS F (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/john-cyprien?id=2539223)lorida International 6'0 217"

2. Matt Elam SS (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/matt-elam?id=2540153) Florida 5'10 208"

3. JJ Wilcox SS (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/j.j.-wilcox?id=2540219) Georgia Southern 6'0 213"

4. DJ Swearinger SS S (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/d.j.-swearinger?id=2539943)outh Carolina 5'10 208"

5. Shawn Williams SS (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/shawn-williams?id=2539233)Georgia 6'0 213"

6. Phillip Thomas SS (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/phillip-thomas?id=2539667) Fresno State 6'0 208"

7. Shamarko Thomas SS (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/shamarko-thomas?id=2539937)Syracuse 5'9 213"

I have always been in the Shawn Williams camp. However Wilcox is the intriguing prospect.

the problem I have with NFL.com's scouting reports they have guys like bucky ( the buffoon ) brooks working there and doing some of that work , and the name of the guy writing it is never on the report thus no credibility if you are not willing to put your name on it ( like the famous unnamed source guy ) ... that being said I prefer guys who put their name on their work that way I know whether to trust the work or not based on past works ...

I know I can trust what Curt tells me , because I know the countless amounts of hours of film study he does , how many years he has been doing it ( we do not always agree but I can always respect his opinion and his answers on how he came to it ) , and he does not care who his reports reflect highly on or negatively on because he has no horse in the race and if feeling get hurt oh well .... he is VERY good at what he does ( it is just not an easy business to break into no matter how good you are ) but he has done cameos on espn affiliates on the draft , he is on record for his mocks ranking in the top 25 in the nation on 5 year averages ( something bucky brooks has not accomplished ) ...

lots of lesser known guys are far better than many " former nfl scouts" such as brooks ..Scott Wright is another good guy to read his notes and pick his pockets for tidbits but I still prefer Curt because of the trust factor ... maybe that is just me because you guys do not have the 10 year ( or so ) history of knowing him ..

we go back to the steelers official board ( both got kicked out for to much draft talk and external links to player evaluations etc ) around 2004 ...

did not mean to turn this into a long drawn out ordeal , just trying to explain why I hate nfl.com stuff on the draft

Nice read Dwins. He made a point that I have noticed before. Jones looks to play a lot faster on the field than he does running the 40.

Ziggy Ansah (http://www.rantsports.com/nfl/2013/04/14/2013-nfl-draft-scouting-report-ezekiel-ansah/)

like I said before we do not always agree but I respect what he says and how he comes to his conclusions ...

that being said my argument would be if Ansah is not worthy then clearly Dion Jordan is not worthy , Jordan has plenty more experience and managed very similar numbers , Ansah doesn't even play the game correctly and accomplishes just as much , once he figures it all out he will be head and shoulders better than Jordan and many Have Jordan going top 5 ....

I would be interested in seeing Ansah drop the 15 pounds Curt eludes to him being able to drop ( or gain ) and putting him at OLB in the 3-4 ... less weight = better speed and stamina

I think his ceiling is higher than Jordans and 5 years from now he could be a Demarcus Ware type player

I consider Jordan and Ansah apples to oranges. I've never been overly excited about Jordan, but what each player does is so different. Jordan understands leverage which is so important for a pass rusher. It might be his only move, but there isn't a player in this draft who can turn the corner like Jordan in this draft. I can't find anything that Ansah does well over than pursue. I don't go crazy over stats, especially in this draft, because so many of these rush players are either part of a rotation or they play in these oddball defensive fronts. If I am a defensive coordinator I see a player I can do a lot more with Jordan with than I can with Ansah. 2 years ago someone had to teach the kid how to put on shoulder pads and now he's going to be in the NFL.

I get what your saying , I just do not agree ...

my contention is if Ansah is as effective playing cluelessly as Jordan ( who knows what he is doing ) once Ansah figures it out ( good coaching ) he will be better ..nothing more nothing less ..If I am looking for a guy to plug in a scheme today it is probably Jordan if I am looking at a few years down the road what player would I have I take Ansah

no it is not a flattering review ,

he has some points no doubt , but I attribute poor health to a lot of his issues ....

he is healthy now , he was healthy as a sophomore ... his sophomore year was very good , his limited carries as of late provide you with a back with a light work load and fresh legs ...if he can be had late he could prove to be a real bargain , however I would only take him if we took another back as well ... would not want to put all my eggs in his basket

I would love to get Ansah but it looks like he may go in the top 5.
