I want to disregard the threat but honestly North Korea is crazy as fuck who knows if they are serious. And before we say "they don't have the means to follow through" I ask can we really be sure of that? If they did launch on the US they would be absolutely obliterated by the USA and Europe but the repercussions would be unbelievable in my opinion. The world stage would obviously depend on what China decided to do (I can't imagine they would stand behind North Korea here?). Here's hoping Kim Jong-un is just flapping his gums here. He does a lot of that.

China doesn't have his back this time, because according to the article, they helped draft the new sanctions, along with the US. That is pretty significant. So this is just a last-ditch attempt by that crazy bastard to try to influence the UN vote.

I'm going to fantasize for a moment. IMO the best thing that could happen should they launch is for us to reveal the technology to take control of the missile and redirect it back to its point of origin. I would love that.
