INDIANAPOLIS — Hines Ward doesn't recognize the Pittsburgh Steelers as he sees them today, about a year after leaving the franchise. He also doesn't like what he's hearing.

"Guys start finger-pointing, calling out other guys. That's not the Steeler way. We always had a rule: We are a band of brothers. We've always collectively kept everything in-house. But there was no finger-pointing and calling out each other.”

Again, whatever, Hines. (http://www.aolnews.com/2009/11/30/hines-ward-calls-out-ben-roethlisberger-for-not-playing/)

I fucking hate the offseason.

i think the coaches under estimated the loss of leadership and were used to not having it and didnt have to mess with the locker room, but now they are going have to do something

Short memory indeed! Hines was a great player but he's still digging the spotlight.

LOL! It is always different when you look BACK at things.

Regardless, tension and discord are often necessary in order for major changes.

And just think...if this "anonymous Steeler" had kept his mouth shut about Woodley, whether it was justified or not, there would not be a bajillion stories and a lot of gum-flapping about any of this. This is exactly why you keep this stuff IN-HOUSE. This is the NFL, not The Days of our Lives. They all need to STFU and concentrate on what THEY are doing to help to avoid a repeat of last season's debacle.
