The terms aren't known yet but the Oklahoma product finished his career with 88 TD's and only 16 INT's while passing for 8,403 yards and the Rams are looking at him to give them a fresh start.

Yea. Bradford was a beast down here... Broke the all time single season scoring record for the Sooners as well. I believe it was 700+ odd points...

I can't even fathom what the numbers in this contract must be.

I'm guessing 6 years $78 mil, $45 mil guaranteed

For not throwing a single pass in an NFL game yet.

That's not unusual. Top drafted rookies are way overpaid. Eric Berry just became the highest paid safety in NFL history and he has yet to play a down.

Yes, I know that. I'm just speaking in general.

Good call. Only $5 mil off on the guaranteed money.

But I need to say that this contract is absolutely ridiculous. He hasn't earned this contract and a rookie salary cap needs to be set.

Yup one thing they need to fix is rookie salaries for sure. No problem with players who have earned it getting the big bucks, but not somoen who has never seen NFL caliber competition.

Agreed. There's just no way that a rookie who's never played a down should be getting paid more than every other player at his position. I just don't see how anyone could possibly think that makes sense.

I noticed he signed real fast once he knew TO wasn't coming in.

I agree the contract amount is ridiculous. But I imagine, that his response about earning it, would be 4 years in college and a good career there. In the same way that top lawyers just out of school get $160,000 salaries-not for the work they have done at the firm, but the work they did in college (and law school).

Then again, I have a problem with the entire NFL salary structure.

These ridiculous rookie contracts are unfair for veterans who have proven themselves in the NFL. Due to the salary cap this eats into their income
