Ravens secondary takes another hit as Domonique Foxworth reportedly tears ACL

With Ed Reed's status in limbo and two other cornerbacks -- Lardarius Webb and Fabian Washington -- working their way back from ACL injuries suffered last season, the Baltimore Ravens' secondary took another hit at the start of training camp.

WNST in Baltimore is reporting that Domonique Foxworth, a cornerback entering his sixth year in the NFL, tore his ACL during a non-contact practice Thursday night.

B..b..but they signed Boldin and Stallworth so they're still going to be super good this season! :chuckle:

So with Reed out at least 6 games and Foxworth the season that is a huge blow for their defense and surely is going to make them look human come game time.

So when do they cease being the "runaway favorites" in the AFCN?

If Cincy does not implode they may put up 40+ on the Ravens. Unless that secondary overachieves...

It's funny, I was reading the Ravens' forums right after the T.O. signing and all of them were downplaying the move.

I revisited after Foxworth's injury and one of the threads was entitled "How the #$*@ are we going to cover Cincy's receivers now?!"

Good times. :chuckle:

Well if they have a few more injuries as critical as that, it might be the Steelers and Bengals for those top 2 spots in the AFC North. Either, a lot of stuff can happen. It's only July going into August.

Not quite sure yet which media darlings of the AFC North this year I want to see fail more.... the Rats or the Bengals.... Both would be outstanding with us standing on the top..

I would hardly say the Bengals have been media darlings of the AFC North this off-season. Now that they've signed T.O., the tide might have turned a little bit, but all off-season long the "experts" have been picking the Bengals to finish 2nd or 3rd in the division despite the fact that they swept it last year. The Ravens have been far and away the media darlings of this off-season and quite undeservedly so, IMO.

How do the Bengals and Browns have the better offseason this year?
