I think it'd be pretty foolish not to.

Yeah, I wonder who would take his place if he left.

I'm sure if they offer the job, he takes it. It'll be interesting to see who comes in to replace him if he leaves.

Why not change the name of the Cardinals to the Stealers?

If Haley gets the AZ job I wish him the best of luck.

In my opinion, if he goes I don't see why the OC job shouldn't be Kirby Wilson's. Or the Fichtner. I like the ideas some of you guys have put out there abou Norv and Chan Gailey, but I was in favor of promoting from within last year and I would be again this time around.

IIRC, the buzz last year was that Kirby Wilson more than likely would have gotten the job if not for his accident.

Maybe Ben wouldn't hate the OC then. :chuckle:

The only thing that sucks about this is if Haley does leave, Ben will have his 3rd OC and offensive system in as many seasons. I would have liked for him to have a chance to build trust and consistency with Haley's offense.

Kirby or Fichtner? I would rather have someone with experience as an OC.

definately hopes he leaves....maybe norv or get Chan back might work..

I gotta ask where this infatuation with Norv came from. I get that he's helped lead really successful offenses in Dallas and made San Diego pretty potent, but when did he come the "go-to" guy? Same with Gailey.

Norv Turner: Great OC ... TERRIBLE head coach.

Only problem with him would be that we'd have one good year and then some numbnuts would forget how bad he is as a HC and offer him that job again. And Turner would forget how bad he is as a HC and accept it.

He also did a pretty awesome job with the 49ers, especially considering the state of the team at that point. That was the first time in years they'd even shown flickers of hope.

...and this

My gut tells me Haley will stay. If not, I'm with SD on getting someone with experience as an OC. Ben hasn't the time for experiments.

Seems Cards fans are against it for the most part.

I hope that Haley see's what a mess the Cards are and turns them down and stays here....because the Steelers would promote either Kirby or Fichtner to OC and to me that would be taking 2 steps back.

LMAO! God, all us fans calling for his head have an enormous amount of egg on our faces, don't we? He's not coming back to the Burgh under his circumstances of his departure. Maybe as a HC. BTW, i haven't watched any Colts games this year, he still running a bunch of bubble screens?

I'm not sure he would come back, and I highly doubt the Steelers would attempt to bring him back. Stranger things have happened though. I prefer Norv on offense, he has a proven track record when that's his only job.

Also, I wouldn't be opposed to an in-house hire. No matter what though I'm going to trust the FO to make the right decision. More times than not they make sound ones.

I hope Haley turns it down or isnt offered. I really like him and his offense. Lets not forget before Ben was hurt he was having a MVP season. If he does take the job itll be Fitchner that gets it.

The offense looked good up to Ben's injury. I hope he gets another shot.
