Hello everyone,
I'm a Brazilian Steelers fan, and I also write on a small blog about the Steelers (in Portuguese). I thought that becoming a member in this forum would be a great way to get a sense of what the black and gold nation all around the world is thinking/discussing, so, here I am! :D

Greetings and a happy new year!

Wow. My old Navy ship, USS Carl Vinson, docked in Rio back in 89'. The local chicks were coming up to us asking for our autographs in their bikini's and all... I've like Brasil ever since !!! Welcome !!!

You have got to be kidding me. I had just been born in '89, but the Carl Vinson docked in Rio again in early 2010, and I was invited aboard for a reception! We got a tour of the flight deck (I have a picture beside a F/A-18 Super Hornet), and even I bought a souvenir: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/74007310/2013-01-03%2000.24.42.jpg

Not only that, but I also come from a Navy family. My grandfather is a retired Capitão de Mar-e-Guerra (your equivalent to a Navy Captain, I think), so I took up rooting for the Navy Midshipmen as well. Beat Army!

Nice to meet you, sir!

Our local S.W.A.T.-equivalent team has a saying: "missão dada é missão cumprida" ("a mission given is a mission accomplished". It doesn't translate very well, but you get the gist of it ;))

Lol. Oh yea, I remember those lighters... lol. And your family got it right; Navy is the best branch of 'any' military... by far >>> :)
