Pirates: Drop Under .500 after being 16 games above .500 in August. Finish with 20th consecutive losing season.

Now the Steelers. Lose 4 of last 5 to drop out. Miss the Playoffs for first time since 2009.

And more on the bright side: just think of the awesome draft picks available for us this year!

8-8 even is still an average draft pick. If I knew this would be our season I would have just cheering for going 0-16.

NOT making any excuses, but we we're RAVAGED by MAJOR injuries this season like no other!

Not many teams make have this good of a record playing with 2nd/3rd string players exclusively!

There will be better picks available to us than we've had at 31 or 32. There's plenty of talent to found in the middle of the draft.

If the Bengals and the Browns haven't been able to build with top draft picks for years, then I got nothin.

Not really, when it comes to injuries, this season has been a nightmare. This team was decimated by injuries to all of it's best players.

Yay! Now we can draft more linebackers like we always do!

Thin at corner? o-line need help? Just draft a shitload of linebackers, defense wins championships! [/joke]

The Steelers went over the fiscal cliff.

We can better appreciate the need for veteran leadership on this team. Some players have to step up and hold each other accountable. Farrior and Ward were sorely missed in the locker room.

I gotta say I was wrong about this years team. While most were more reasonable in their assessment (A LOT between 9-7 and 7-9) I had much higher expectations.

Whatever the reason(s) for this years mediocre performance, I am hoping that our Steelers come back in 2013 healthy and hungry for a 7th trophy.

That's what I predicted before the season 7-9 to 9-7.

I didn't see it with this year's team. Always hope for the best, but with all of the preseason (and before) injuries and how they lost to Denver last year...I didn't see it this year.
