If it wasn't when he proudly proclaimed he had gotten a flu shot, perhaps WR Emmanuel Sanders (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/nfl/players/playerpage/564943/emmanuel-sanders) put it best Friday afternoon in the Steelers (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/nfl/teams/page/PIT/pittsburgh-steelers) locker room.

"You've gotta wash your hands around here," Sanders said.

The apparent virus or bug that kept LB James Harrison (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/nfl/players/playerpage/303162/james-harrison) from practicing Wednesday and Thursday seems to have spread throughout the team. Friday, WR Antonio Brown (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1272852/antonio-brown), LS Greg Warren (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/nfl/players/playerpage/553477/greg-warren) and LB Stevenson Sylvester (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1116094/stevenson-sylvester) did not practice and WR Plaxico Burress (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/nfl/players/playerpage/187385/plaxico-burress) was limited -- all due to apparent illness............

Sometimes, all you can do is throw your head back and laugh.

If Mad Dog Dwight White was still with us, he would be laughing. He dragged himself out of a hospital bed to sack Tarkenton in the EZ for a safety and the first points in SB IX.

If it's the same bug that ran through Iowa a couple weeks ago, it'll take 5 days to run it's course.

Well , thats great . That explains everything now. Maybe we will have enough bodies left to put on the field this Sunday. Or maybe go for a higher draft choice. Or trade some of the dead wood we have on this team. Unleash em and let them go. Come on front office.

Seems as though the deck is stacked against our
steelers. If injuries don't get us the micro-organisms will.

If I was a player on a team that just got trounced by the Chargers and was going through a week of after-loss practices I might come down with a cold too... :chuckle:

Honestly this game barely matters.

It's the next two that really count. So maybe it's better that this runs it's course now and hopefully we come back against Cincy relatively healthy.

A loss I can handle. I don't want to be embarrassed, especially 2 weeks in a row, at the hands of the Chargers and the Cowboys.

We could have a gritty performance on D, but they have 3 strong weapons that can catch the ball, and we are weakest in the secondary. I hope LeBeau has some tricks up his sleeve.

More than likely, we will have an average performance on offense, maybe score 24-28 points. They could easily put up 35 points if the secondary doesn't gel.
