With no offense intended to any black posters we have on this board. I have a question. Has Kwanzaa gained any real traction in the black community?

I guess I didn't really think things through before my initial post. :doh: Because I just don't see it? I'm not going to lie by saying I have hundreds of black friends. I've got a few. But in all honestly, outside of family or work, and the occasional party I really don't go to many people's houses, white or black. I've got a few black neighbors, and get along with them all. But I've never noticed any sort of special Kwanzaa tradition being observed by them? :noidea:

Second of all, to answer your question, a small minority of black people celebrate Kwanzaa. The overwhelming majority celebrate Christmas.
