Except he's never asked to be paid like Megatron.

Why does everyone ignore this?

Because he's asking for a shitload of money. Maybe not the same exact amount Megatron is making, but what he's demanding is nothing to sneeze at. I'd say anything over $10M a year for a receiver, only a handful of guys are making that, so yes, he's asking to be paid "like" Megatron.

Nobody knows what Wallace was asking, but we do know what he turned down, and i'm not sure he's even worth THAT.

Yes and no. We know the full package, to a point, but what we don't know, is exactly what in that package wasn't sufficient. Maybe he wanted more guaranteed money. Maybe he wanted more years and the contract figures to reflect those years. Maybe he wanted more up-front money in a signing bonus. Maybe he wanted blah blah blah.

We don't know what we don't know.

He's never demanded anything. Not once. Not ever. Megatron is being paid like a top-tier QB. The last time I checked, not only has Wallace never "demanded" such a contract, the Steelers' offer wasn't even in the same zip code. The whole flap over his turning down the Steelers' offer was over guaranteed money. He wanted more than what the Steelers were offering, which means the length and AAV of the deal wasn't the problem. In what alternate universe does that become "Megatron money?"

He's also had his fair share of drops on the end zone...lol.

Its true alot of catches and yards so far but only 4 tds, and ya hes dropped some big td catches the year. 4 tds not going to cut it and the lions are hurting because of it.

As far as I'm concerned, anything over $10M might as well be Megatron money. As in, you can only afford to pay a couple of guys that or you're screwed. It doesn't really make much difference whether it's $11M or $12M or $14M; you're still generally in the same boat.

I don't really recall the whole flap being over guaranteed money either. I remember it being one theory, but that's all. Just like it's theory that he wants $11M, or $12M, or whatever number he allegedly doesn't want.
