Batch is 5-2 as starter with the Steelers, but only one win was against a team with a winning record and it was against Tampa Bay in 2010

The good news is that 2 of the next 3 games is against a team with a losing record

Do you have confidence that the steelers will win some game with Charlie Batch?

not a doubt in my mind ....we win at least 2 of 3 ... perhaps a sweep provided we can keep Charlie upright

One thing I am certain of he will not run down the field 31 yards and fall untouched in the end zone and hurt himself

He's been dependable his entire career, and he won't stop now.

very confident, especially if the D plays like it did against baltimore.

there is NOTHING a steady dose of Heath and some key runs by Dwyer won't fix , Charlie is also very good in that all important 5-20 yard range passing the ball and considering most of Haleys offense is designed around that type of QB play Charlie should look hella good in this system ... 20 yards plus his arm starts to show its age but considering Haleys system should not be an issue

I really think Charlie will play well enough for the steelers to win games and, knows the offense.

Batch should perform well enough to win the majority of the games he starts. Good test this week. Sure hope our D finally gets going in the TO department.

Charlie will hold up his end, but the line better protect him like he's carrying their baby!

Can he stay healthy is what concerns me.

He'll do what he always does. He'll give us a chance to win, and look ugly doing it.

I think Charlie will be fine. As long as the O line gives him the protection and time, he'll find someone to throw to. He know's the system well.

if we win it will be ugly for sure. if we lose it will be very very ugly. either way there is not much to get excited about unless ben returns soon

With our defense playing lights out right now we are in every game.

If fragile Batch stays upright and our special teams doesn't shit the bed again no reason we can't win every game.

With our defensive play, Lefty, even hurt, played well enough to win.

Get him warmed up against the Brownies this week and make him a turnstyle @ Baltimore, Dwyer was unstoppable last week. As long as he doesn't get injured (BIG if) I'm confident he can win both games.

My overall level of confidence in him is not high, but I am 99.99% certain we'll get a better effort than the shitbomb on Sunday. We'll probably beat the bad teams and not the good ones.

I'm not that worried about him. I think he'll do just fine.

Do we have a choice? He's the next guy up with zero excuses. We brought a young kid in as an emergency so the weight is on Batches shoulder.

Well, if we can't beat the good ones, then his effort would be less than what we say last Sunday, since we actually would have won the game without the ST's issues. In fact, playing with fractured ribs, IMO, says a whole lot about effort.

It might not say too much about intelligence, but effort, yeah.

As for Batch, it's the Browns, not the Ravens. I'm confident in him for this game. The next game, we'll see. Let's take it one step at a time.

Batch has earned my trust over the years, he's proven himself a very capable QB.

I 'm confident Haley and Tomlin can make a good game plan according to Charlie's abilities, AND I hope the OL can protect him. For the next 3 games I think we can win the Browns and the Chargers games, but beating the Rats in Baltimore will be very very hard without Ben.

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being most confident...for this week I'd give him a 6...they are playing the Browns. After that...ill reserve judgment.

Guess I was overconfident. Next game? On a scale of 1-10? I'll give it about a 3 confidence rating. I really hope that Ben is completely up to playing. I don't want him back if he's still injured, but if he is okay, Lord do we ever need him.

over confidence is an understatement , however he was far from the only factor today

So much for giving him the benefit of the doubt...no matter who it is, I guess I give him a 1.
