that is the headline we should have been reading for the Ravens game IMO and am on record of doing so prior to the game so is not a case of hindsight

If the defense, and special teams come to play for a win,i see no reason why the seasoned vet can not get a win.It comes down to a total team effort.I think old Charlie will stand tall.

They need to just release Lefty and Batch. They are paying them all this money for doing what? Seriously, what benefit is Lefty? Not so much Batch "when Batch is playing".

I think if he stays healthy, Batch will do well. But that is a big IF.

Hell, I'll be surprised if Botch finishes the first half, let alone the game. You breath on that guy wrong and he goes down.

Charlie will not make it through the game if sacked too many times and he can't avoid em like Ben. The Steelers know this so I foresee alot of holding penalties. We have our share of those as it is.:D

Leftwich is definitely gone. What good is a backup who can't backup for a one flipping game?

When was the last time Charlie got hurt?

When was the last time Charlie got hurt?

Game wise, or calendar wise? Calendar wise, it was 2009. He had to come in for a drive in OT, and sustained a wrist injury that required surgery, ending his season. Since then, he played in one and a half games in 2010, and one game in 2011. So, two and a half games ago game wise.

The year before that, he broke his Clavicle.

Four games before that (and four years), he missed the season because of a knee injury (preseason, I think).

So, in the last 7 and a half games, he's had three season ending injuries. Not exactly something to make us hopeful that he'll make it through the next week or two.

I forsee an emphasis on the ground game, against the Browns #24 ranked rush defense.
