"Hi Alex!
Thanks as always!
Hugs,
Marriane"

First Half

- Keisel abused the LG Jeff Allen on his first sack on KC's first drive.

- Why was the 1st team defense in on punt coverage a couple times throughout the game? Has it been like that all year?

- Keenan bit on run action on Moaeki's 38 yard catch and run.

- Basically, the Chiefs got to the 3rd level every play on their first drive. Our safeties had six tackles on KC's 12 run plays in the first quarter and Will Allen missed another on Charles' TD.

- Not a fan of the counter draw with Foster pulling we ran a couple times. Way too slow developing.

- Good effort by Colon to recover Paulson's fumble.

- Lot of playaction for us off Power O. Get the LBs to read their keys, see the guard pull, think run, and bite.

- Shifted from Strong I to empty at least twice in the first half.

- PA, Wallace on post vs zone, beats the single high safety but the pass hit off his hands.

- Dwyer's 17 yard run. Eric Berry looks to be man on Miller, stares at him off the snap to see if he releases. By the time he realizes it's run, the pulling Colon easily kicks him ou. Dwyer again falls untouched at the 3rd level on this play unless he was just diving. But I'd like to have him make someone pay and see if he can churn out a couple more yards.

- Again, amazing catch by Wallace. On the play, he stemmed to the inside like he was going to block, then broke it off to the fade. Pics.

Second Half

- Will Johnson still the upback on KR.

- Chiefs LT Branden Albert did a nice job of getting out in space and locking onto Allen on the Bowe TD caled back by the Albert hold.

- 1st play Leftwich is in. PA, deep cross to Wallace though falls incomplete.

- Nice crackback by Sanders.

- 4th and inches failed conversion. Didn't mind the call, but the execution was awful. Broke the huddle with just 10 seconds, had to change it to go on the first sound, and Johnson made a great play to locate, stop Dwyer. We were way too hurried and unprepared on that play.

- Lefty's second throw deep to Wallace.

- Line slide the wrong way on this play late in 3rd. Lefty crushed.

- Felt like KC started bringing the house once Byron came into the game.

- Great job by Timmons to scrape and tackle Hillis for just a gain of two off a screen. Would have gone for a lot more otherwise. Picture, screen at bottom of the picture.

- Pretty stick throw, nice adjustment by Cotchery on 3rd down late for 22.

- Ryan Clark jump what he expected to be a curl on KC's first play on their final drive of regulation. Moaeki ends up running down the seam and picks up 18. Pic.

- Had Harrison drop a lot as part of zone blitz on final drive.

- Bowe catch on 4th down. Zone over, two deep shell, man under (inside trail). Run McCluster down the seam to occupy the FS and have Bowe on the dig. Nice throw from Cassel. Picture, bottom of the screen.

- Timmons INT. Hook zone, Cassel never saw him. Ball came out wobbly too, heard Keisel got a piece of it.

- Harrison held in check by Moaeki vs run all night. Ugh. End of the line for Deebo?

- Chiefs inside/outside zone killed us like many teams have done this year. We can't stop it.

- Still don' know how I feel about Dwyer. Don't know if he's still a guy that just get what is blocked.

Sacks

- 14:06 left in 3rd. Shotgun, 11. 6 block vs 4 rush. Good coverage downfield, no one available. Ben crunched, hurt.

Hey Chidi. What the hell was Larry Foote doing on the Chiefs touchdown run? Just ran himself out of the play without a thought that the ball might not be going to the right side. Both he and Timmons commited full bore to the right at the snap. Casey was easily blocked aside, and bingo, uncontested 12 yard TD run. The only guy who came close to making a play was Ziggy Hood, who had good penetration and just missed Charles in the backfield by a whisker.

Good stuff.

Just a quick note on the play where Ben got injured, why do you have it down as a coverage sack? Sack should be on Ben IMO. He had a couple of seconds, everyone was covered and then instead of throwing it away ( he had the time to throw it away) he tried to make a play and then got sacked.

Great stuff, Chidi. Don't know how you find the time to do this w/school and radio games. Thanks for your weekly updates.

I thought Foote was playing well at the beginning of the year, but he's gone downhill in a hurry. Washed out time after time. I'd almost rather see Brandon Johnson get a shot than Foote though I'm sure that hope is a longshot.

Ben was still in the pocket IIRC. He was trying to escape when he got sandwiched.
