Said Ward on his NBC-TV gig Sunday: “Sometimes when you get so close, partiality sets in and you don’t know if Bruce Arians is doing what’s best for the Steelers or if he’s doing what’s best for Ben Roethlisberger. I think that set in and they had to part ways because when you go out there and you can’t decide what’s best for the team and you’re doing what’s best for the players. That can be a problem.”

Let's see how many years we can milk this BA story. It's like getting your toothbrush a little to far in the back of one's throat.

And of course, the Haley-Ben feud will never rest. What WERE the Steelers thinking?

Might that "partiality" have also included forcing bubble screens to you for either no gain or negative yardage for the express purpose of getting you to the 1,000-reception mark, Hines?

Which holds to his original statement that Arians did more for the individuals than the team.

Not really.

Sometimes when you get so close, partiality sets in and you don’t know if Bruce Arians is doing what’s best for the Steelers or if he’s doing what’s best for Ben Roethlisberger.

It's no secret that he and Roethlisberger weren't the best of pals, and it appears his original statement makes the clear distinction that Arians' "partiality" only extended to Roethlisberger and nobody else.
