PITTSBURGH – The Philadelphia Eagles entered Sunday’s game against the Steelers having lived life on the edge in their first four games. Philadelphia’s three wins had come by a combined four points, as they had found ways to pull out victories in the closing seconds against Cleveland, Baltimore and the New York Giants.
This time, the Steelers turned the tables on the Eagles.

Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger directed a 64-yard drive in the game’s closing minutes, setting up Shaun Suisham’s 34-yard field goal as time expired that gave the Steelers a 16-14 victory at Heinz Field.

It wasn’t a pretty victory for the Steelers (2-2), who were coming off their bye week, but it wasn’t one they will apologize for, either.

“I am thankful that we were able to do what was necessary to win,” said Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. “Offense, defense, special teams, (there were) a lot of contributions in all three phases.
