must win for the steelers!

The Titans are a bad team(as the raiders!!!!) and it's time to win a first game on the road in 2012!

If the Steelers can't beat the Titans Thursday, they may not win a road game this season.

The Steelers have lost their last three road games. That has to end.

If this team has any expectations to meet, they need to start playing better on the road.

the steelers have 5-6 on the road since last year(12-1 at home in the last 13 home games)

I'm not counting any gimmee's. We saw what happened in raiders game, which I think will come back and haunt us. The Steeler's definitely need to treat this as a play-off game and score as much and often as possible. 50- 0 works for me !!!

This isn't a gimme, but it is a must win. The Steelers need to get on the right side of .500 on Thursday night against Tennessee.

I agree 100% - there are NO gimmee's in Steeler football schedules !! LOL

Lol, there are no gimmee's in the NFL. If you would have told me this morning that the Packers would lose to the Colts today, I would have told you that you're nuts.

I smack anyone straight across the mouth if they think this game will be a gimme. Expect a close and hard fought game to the wire.

The Titans are losing 30-7 to the vikings right now which probably means they are looking ahead to the Steelers and saving their energy for the Steeler game. This compared with the Steelers hard fought win against the Eagles, the Steelers will likely be more tired coming into the game

The Steelers have to win 4 of their last 6 road games. That will be nearly impossible.

I agree. They haven't been a very good road team since 2010. Last year 5-3 but struggled in wins against Indy and KC. This year 0-2.

The Titans still hate the Steelers. Carrying over bad blood from the old AFC Central. They'll be up for this game.

As things stand now, I see Cleveland and Cincy. Even the Browns will be a HUGE trap game. They will probably be 1-10 by time we play them and this will be their Super Bowl. We ain't beating Dallas the way we've played on the road. I THINK we'll be up for the Titans game. If we pull that out, I'll reassess....

The cowboys are awful at home since 2010.....The browns are 1-16 in the last 17 games vs steelers!

I don't care how bad teams play at home, I care how shitty we've been on the road. I'll believe in this "Hope and Change" when I see it...so far this year, bupkis...

The Ravens IN Baltimore?

Are you JOKING?

Did you see the Raiders game? I have that as a solid "L" for us right now. Like I said, until they prove me wrong, I consider the Steelers a horrible road team.

YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME

except for last year, the steelers had play well in Baltimore since 2008(win in Baltimore in 2008 and 2010 and almost won in 2009 with Dennis Dixon)..If the player of the steelers not think that they can win in Baltimore, they are fucking losers

And you do not understand that things can change

the giants were 7-7 last year with one of the worst defense in the NFL and they lost twice against Rex Grossman and the redskins(5-11)

But things have changed since they won the Super Bowl and their defense gave 14 points per game in his 6 games

YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME,YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME,YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME

How about if we all take a deep breathe and worry about one game, the game this Thursday. Lets not worry about the rest of the AFC North or remaining NFC East away games. I don't know much about the Titans this year, but it seems that they are an extremely weak team in all areas of play. Of course, this game won't be easy knowing the Steelers.

polamalubeast

as I said yesterday, this is a must win

It is important to win the next 3 games before playing against the Super Bowl champions

Tomlin: If we're going to be team we want to be, need to win on road. #Steelers 5-6 on road last 2 seasons, but even wins unimpressive.

And what exactly does me correctly assessing the Steelers as a poor road team have to do with what any of the players think? And how does assessing the team correctly as being a poor road team (right now...because they are) mean that I don't understand that things can change? Of COURSE they can...but they like, you know, actually have to change first before you can say they changed. And, as of this moment, the Steelers are only as good of a road team as their last outing dictates, and that was a very poor outing. You don't get credit for only wishing you were better than you are...

polamalubeast

Tomlin talked about playing on the road. Interesting to note, the Steelers have lost 14 of past 22 games in Central, Mtn &Pacific time zones

Well, until the NFL adopts an SEC road schedule, I think we're just going to be stuck with having to play games in different time zones. That's not any kind of excuse for sucking on the road.

Interesting that you posted those photos, because the Titans have been awful since that game. That said, Thursday's game is no gimme by any stretch, and I would not be surprised if the Steelers lost. They have been horrid on the road over the past 2 seasons.

Fortunately it's not a west coast game, otherwise I would have chalked it in as a loss already.

Titans Before that game. 22-9 Record in 2007-2008.

Titans After the game...24-31 from Week 17 2008 to 2012 Present.

The Raiders game should teach anyone that no game is a gimme. If the Steelers can lose to one of the worst teams in the league, they can lose to the Titans.

Our O has to step up this game. We are down Woodley and Troy for sure on the D. Maybe Clark, maybe Mundy.

This is by no means going to be an easy game. We have to find a way to stop the run and to keep up the pressure on the QB.
