'88? I disagree. I think this is much more like the defense of '02 and '03. Teams picked up how to play us, other teams watched film, and then half the NFL was able to walk right over us because they were all doing the same thing and our defense was struggling to make the adjustments.

Our DLine needs help, no pressure on less than swift of foot Palmer. Harrison being out hurts, who is going to replace him when he leaves because that is only a few months/years away.

The problem with drafting for our D-line is that we still don't have an O-line. Colon with his penalties has got to go.

And just like that team we need secondary help (safety) and mediocre depth at LB. Can't stop the run and defense get off the field on 3rd down.

From what I could guess, they played OK today, especially in pass protection. Run blocking still needs work. They have plenty of talent...I think it's the guy coaching them that's the problem there.

This is more like 2009. Defense - Troy = Epic Suckage.

We need to draft a safety because Clark and Polamalu are on the wrong side of 30 and our defense is awful without them. We need their successors last year.

Linebacker might be OK in the long run if Spence turns out to be what we hope and Carter continues to develop. We can solve the running/OL problems with a healthy DeCastro and further development of Adams, Foster, etc.

Seriously? Look at that list again. He's the top tackler of all D Linemen. Once again, his (and the DL in a fireblitz defense) job is NOT to tackle, or get sacks, it's to get push, and tie up the OL so the LB's can shoot through.

Yeah they are that bad, and if you're expecting 43, and 92 t come to the rescue. Good luck with that, you've got just about as much chance of Gregg Lloyd and Rod Woodson rushing to the rescue.

THis
isn't playing down. they are that bad. Like I said before...keep this up and they'll easily be third in the division. They'll have no answer for Flacco, no answer for Dalton and will be lucky to be 3-5 after 8...very lucky. Things need to change...starting with LeBeau on down...

Again we can win any game. But only if we execute flawlessly on offense. Fumbling on consecutive touches wont get it down. Cannot happen again!

And the defense cannot suck either. Not creating pressure, having one sack, and no turnovers won't get it done either. That is what really cannot happen again.

We will not win any games if we have to put up 40 every game. If it wasn't Brown, it could have been Wallace, or Miller, or ... Wallace also fumbled after Brown's TD, he was just fortunate to recover his.

We scored 31 points, killed in TOP until the end there. I'm not sure why everyone's been harping on the fumbles, are we just that used to always blaming the offense for our failures? Brown's second fumble came later when we were backed into a position where the D had sucked so much that the O HAD to continue scoring at that crazy pace. Brown was trying to do too much.

Neither Wallace or Brown has a history of fumbling, so I don't think it'll be a problem.

Neither do I, and the offense cannot be asked to go out and score 40 points every game. The Packers tried that last season and ultimately failed miserably in the playoffs, because their defense was shit (and still is) and couldn't get the job done when the offense had an off game. It's completely ridiculous to place blame on them...they scored more than enough points in order to win. As I said in another thread, if the roles were reversed, I doubt anyone would blame the defense for anything.

People were worried about Larry Foote at ILB. Watching these 3 games, I'm still looking for the $50 million man Lawrence Timmons. Seems like he's geting paid to watch the secondary make tackles.

I hope LeBeau steps down. I hope Mike doesn't have to fire him. But clearly, he does not understand that the D with Troy is not the same as the D without Troy. He refuses to make an adjustment.
