Nobody on the Steelers knows Carson Palmer better than Troy Polamalu, who once roomed with the Raiders quarterback at Southern Cal. Only this isn’t the Palmer Polamalu remembers.
The change has nothing to do with the serious knee injury Palmer sustained when Steelers lineman Kimo von Oelhoffen yanked him down from knee level during a 2005 season playoff game in Cincinnati.
It has everything to do with Palmer being in a different system with a different team, a year after his difficult divorce from the Bengals, the team he decided he couldn’t play for any longer............
