PITTSBURGH – If given the chance, James Harrison has no problem putting a big hit on Peyton Manning.

The Steelers’ star linebacker known for delivering bone-crunching tackles couldn’t care less that Manning is making a comeback after sitting out last year with a neck injury.

“I would tackle him the same way I tackle anybody else,” Harrison said. “What’s the difference? There’s no concern (on my part). He’s healthy. He’s fine.”

Manning, a future Hall of Fame quarterback, will make his Broncos debut Sunday night against the Steelers. He spent the first 14 years of his pro career with the Indianapolis Colts.

“I see him as a quarterback that I’m trying to get to, as I see him as any other quarterback that I’d be trying to get to,” Harrison said. “Injury has no bearing on it. He’s a healthy individual. There’s nothing wrong with him. He’s had surgery, as many other players have had in the NFL.”

Well, seeing as how the general(ly) stupid public and media see EVERY hit coming from JH as having an evil, viscious cheap shot quality, what they are HEARING from this comment is that JH will cheap shot w/ intent to kill Peyton just like he does every other player on the opposing team on every hit. What gets said and what gets "heard" are often two different things.

Silverback will not even get close to Manning, and here's why. We all know that Harrison is held continuously and never gets the flag, so why is that going to be any different with the Bronco's LT? The ref will probably be looking the other way when Silverback is horsecollared to the ground when he starts beating their LT on a regular basis.

It MIGHT be different this week with the replacement refs. We'll see.

that's the only reason I wanna see him suit up for this one. Even if he's at 50%, not getting held every play will be a major disruption on manning
