The Pittsburgh Steelers, in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Sports Medicine Concussion Program, will announce a public service campaign to promote concussion awareness and education later this week.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and Dr. Micky Collins, clinical and executive director of the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program, will hold a news conference Wednesday to introduce the program, which will provide information on preventing concussion through safe play and proper tackling techniques as well as concussion management.

Fantastic. Applaud the team for being the first to do this.

THAT is how you do this...get out in front of it and be proactive. Don't obfuscate and stall like Goodell does, jump on this and take steps to do something about it.

The longer the NFL lawsuit drags on, the more the NFL hides from it and fights it, the more expensive and damaging it will be, and the more stupid rule changes the NFL will reflexively knee-jerk into making that after-the-fact.
