Did anyone happen to catch that sack by #56? He was untouched and surely didnt need Mcclendons help. Besides that though he was dominated by a pair of rookie tight ends on the same drive. Looked pathetic on the goaline effort with his 1 armed flail attempt to stop the RB. or course Hes still the front runner for DEf MVP as long as those sack #s pileup..

to be fair, luck gets away if mclendon isnt there. woodley did a good job of not over pursuing incase a bootleg was coming his way but luck did a perfect job of stepping up. nothing he could do with mclendon there

I am sick of all this Woodley is overrated garbage. He's one of the better 3-4 OLB's in the league and his main job is to sack the QB. Did he make a one armed flail attempt to tackle the RB on the goal line effort in the PRESEASON. As long as he's trying to actually tackle the RB's in week one, that's what I am worried about. I don't want to see one of our better defensive players get hurt, especially with the uncertainty of when Harrison is coming back (they say week 1 but you never know).

Seriously? It's the preseason. Do you honestly think our veterans are out on the field playing their hearts out? The players that are giving it all the effort are the ones that don't have an established roster spot, and don't even pull that "MTV" and "Rookie prank" crap, either. The guy just donated 60,000 dollars to a school, everyone pranks rookies, and if he's on T.V. showing off his home, that's his right to do! He earns his money on the field.

Even when wood isnt getting sacks he is sturdy as hell, setting the edge vs the run...wood is the least of our concern IMO
