I'm not being negative, I'm being realistic. We know it's not a matter of if James gets suspended, but when, for what, and for how long? As a supposed repeat offender you know they're going to go higher than one game. So how many games for the course of the season do you predict he'll miss due to suspension?

Hmmmmm....

-He's a "repeat offender"
-He plays for the Steelers
-He plays "old school" football

Ummmmmmmm........................he'll be suspended for.....................all of them?

I don't think he'll be suspended once this year. I predict he'll be quiet, but will be the Steelers best performing LB and will be considered for defensive player of the year. I don't know why I'm feeling this way, but I do.

I hope I'm right too! I'd love to see James be defensive player of the year again.

Two, and probably late in the season like last year and again for something completely bogus since he is unable to defy the laws of physics and avoid collisions with a "helpless QB" who turns into a "ball carrier" who turns back into a "helpless QB" in a fraction of a second. And like last year, the usual suspects in the media (Florio, the slobbering Ravens homer that writes ESPN's AFC North blog, et al.) will all pile on as well with the usual hand wringing about what a dirty headhunter he is, despite the fact that the entire year up to that point nobody heard a peep from or about him.

And as an added bonus, it will probably happen during prime time on NBC, where the always objective Collinsworth will weigh in on what a dirty hit it was to boot. :coffee:

I said 2. James is going to continue to play his style of football ( which I love and hope he continues ), but being he's got such a great relationship with the Roger Rabbit some BS call will happen and James will get the blame and punishment. UGH !!

And poll has severe lack of "Tom Brady is gay" option.

Pretty much sums up my feelings.

Biased poll much?

Here's a chidi poll on the same subject matter.

How many games will Roger Goodell be forced for the good of the game to suspend James Harrison for?

1. Zero. James will finally toe the line and behave like a respectful "Stepford" linebacker is supposed to act.

2. One game. Sadly Roger will have to give Harrison a minor rebuke even though Harrison will have broke no known rule of the game.

3. Two. As a repeat offender of violating rules retroactively; Harrison will have to be punished at least with a two game suspension.

4. Expelled permanently. But it will be for his own good.

That's called plagiarism sir, and I wlll not stand for it. :chuckle:

Check out my thread in "Around the NFL" that talks about the league possibly embellishing the replacement ref's experience. I can be unbiased. Can you?

And you forgot option 5.

"Tom Brady is gay"

Details, details, details.

How many times is he going to cut somebody's career short by going low at the knees?

If I have to be sure. But last I heard this is a Steelers site and being unbiased is optional.

Roger Rabbit will surely find something to suspend him for.

If Harrison's helmet so much as contacts a QBs helmet during a sack, concussion or not, it will be an automatic undisputed 4 game suspension. Anything beyond that would be suspension for the season. I don't think this thread is funny at all. It just pisses me off. Remember this thread when it happens.

I wasn't trying to be funny. I said as much on the opening post. What you said is exactly what i believe will happen.

Lastly, making this thread has no bearing on future events. So I'm not really sure what that last line or yours meant?

Deebo might dodge a bullet this year. Roger Goodell might behave a little bit more this year. Saints stuff could backfire on him

That's what I'm hoping. I'd love to see Roger torn apart in a court of law and be made to answer for his ever moving bar, randomness, and inconsistencies in all matters of discipline.

Sorry Zu, I was in a bad mood last night. Just saying "remember you thought it was funny in this thread and joked about it." Not saying you specifically. This whole situation sends a cold shiver down my spine. Chris Carter better be the real deal. Harrison is on a tightrope with the all powerful Goodell.

I would say at least 3 or more. Especially if he hits Manning too hard.

i said 1 for a "legal" hit on manning, bit manning goes down like a rag doll

I voted two games because he is considered a "repeat offender" and it will be a total bullshit call because he "tackled the quarterback too hard."
