On July 17th, the Obama for America Campaign, the Democratic National Committee and the Ohio Democratic Party filed suit in OH to strike down part of that state's law governing voting by members of the military. Their suit said that part of the law is "arbitrary" with "no discernible rational basis."

Currently, Ohio allows the public to vote early in-person up until the Friday before the election. Members of the military three extra days to do so. While the Democrats may see this as "arbitrary" and having "no discernible rational basis"

He doesn't have ACORN to cheat for him this time around, so expect to see more and more of this.

He's also not going to be able to buy this election. I expect rampant cheating and voter fraud this cycle...

The libs usually do everything possible to quell military votes. That's because we overwhelmingly vote republican.

Hindes, that is very true but last election the African American military members followed suit with th African American civilian population, they voted for the O. I had a buddy of mine who is very conservative, and African American, who voted for Obama with the though process of "if not now, when" when it comes to having an African American Prez. But overall you are correct, the majority of military are conservative and vote republican, hence the reason they don't want us voting.

This is why I think he's going to get four more no matter what.

This is why I always laugh when liberals claim Bush stole the election in 2000. For every supposed vote that was miscounted in Florida there were a dozen throughout the nation that were stolen by the Democrats through their various methods of voter fraud.

Lol. Long story short; I'd be surprised if Romney pulls it off............

What does being African American have to do with voting for Obama? Ohhh, you mean blacks?? Isn't DeCastro also African American?

It literally makes me puke to hear the term African American that assumes "black". Of course, I'm assuming you were also referring to blacks. :)

I hold the RNC accountable for this. It's up to the powers that be in the RNC to prevent this or to fight fire with fire.

Good assumption. I was using the term because that is the PC term. I think I will start using Scottish American to describe me.

They have an uphill battle with this because the "mainstream press" is so in the tank for the Dems. If Republican's fight fire with fire it will only be their fire that's exposed.

As much as I hate to say it, you are right on this one. Page one of the USAToday, republicans are bad, page 30 of the Beaver County Times, dems might be bad.

As much as I dislike Obama, I have to point out that this headline and article are false and misleading.
Not your fault, Mach1. That headline is just what the article says.
But in all fairness, the Obama campaign isn't trying to restrict the military vote, they're just trying to extend the absentee deadline for everyone else to match the deadline for active duty military.
There are plenty of reasons to dislike how they're going about it, but "restricting the military vote" isn't one of them.

No, but it certainly is "narrowing" the time frame for the military vote to make it in. How about "limiting" the military vote. Yep. That's much better.

No it's not. The military absentee ballots would have exactly the same deadline they have now.

Here's what REALLY happened.

Ohio has something called "The Golden Week", and it's a time of overlap between registering to vote and early voting. Basically, people can register and vote all on the same day without any address verification, and, in fact, hardly any kind of verification at all. So the state legislature closed to loophole and limited the registration period and voting period so there was no overlap. They left special dispensation in place for the military.

The Golden Week was golden for Obama, because it allowed ACORN to register people and vote without verification. Now it's gone. The GOP picked up on this because it removed that dispensation for military, but what Obama REALLY wants is his loopholes back...

^This. There are a lot of reasons to not like this, but to claim that it would somehow take anything away from military voters is intellectually dishonest. We've got plenty of reasons to be mad at Obama without making stuff up.
