ANDERSON, Ind. -- Indianapolis Colts safety Tom Zbikowski spotted the Pittsburgh Steelers jersey in the front row right away. A few minutes later, he asked first-year coach Chuck Pagano to take care of the offensive sight.

Armed with a new Andrew Luck jersey and an ultimatum, Pagano enticed 24-year-old Anderson native Zach Simmons to make the smart decision -- changing his shirt so he could stick around for the rest of Monday afternoon's training camp practice. Yes, the Steelers-Ravens rivalry now includes a handful of former Ravens in Indianapolis.

????what????where????

Ummmmm....Chuck Pagano. A big enough fan to make him his first new hire as HC. Remember, Pagano had to call his defenses against Arians, so, um, like, maybe he knows something a lot of people here don't?

He's a huge...fan, obviously, and (of) Mewelde Moore.

Funny, all the Colts are saying that Arians doesn't sugar coat things, just tells it like it is, and accountability, NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE, is his calling card. More Myths busted...

http://www.indystar.com/article/20120714/SPORTS03/207140341/Indianapolis-Colts-New-offensive-coordinator-Bruce-Arians-demands-accountability

Players will find themselves facing two realities shortly after settling into their seats in the Indianapolis Colts' offensive meeting room once training camp starts at the end of the month.

» Accountability.

» Bruce Arians, their coordinator who demands the former.

"He's not going to BS you," veteran receiver Reggie Wayne said.

That's evident in how Arians structures his meetings. They generally start with a review of the most recent practice. And that involves a collective perusal of a "busted assignment" sheet.

Run a wrong or lazy route? It's duly noted. Botch an assignment? Arians has listed it and it's discussed among the group. It matters not whether the perpetrator is an undrafted rookie free agent or Wayne, a five-time Pro Bowler and the second-leading receiver in club history.

"Oh, I've been on there quite a few times," Wayne said recently, smiling broadly. "You know when meetings start, he's going to put that paper up. And sometimes you'll be afraid to look up and see how many times your number's on there.

"He doesn't care who you are. He'll put your number up there and he's going to correct you."

"Everything they said, I'm seeing with him. Everything," Wayne said. "He's not going to sugarcoat anything. He's going to try to correct you and make you the best you can be. If you're a veteran guy, you've got to understand that and take the good with the bad.

"I appreciate that. I can handle that. I'm glad he's here."

Why did Pagano, the former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator, turn to Arians, the former Steelers offensive coordinator?

"It wasn't his looks," Pagano said, laughing. "He's a brilliant offensive coordinator."

Sounds like a group of Sour patch kids is coaching the Colts. Quite frankly Arians is an afterthought, and Pagano doesnt even coach an AFC North team. So whats the boner over us. Flattering if you ask me.

Obviously Pagano and Zbikowski were having a little fun with the guy and the guy got a signed Luck jersey out of the deal...however, the Steelers "fan" was a pussy for taking the jersey off...lol.

Not sure he's even a real Steeler fan sounds to me like a colts fan who wanted to get noticed. How many of you would have taken off the jersey??? I know I wouldn't.

While that's actually a pretty funny response, it's also completely ignoring the empirical data that refutes much of the "group-think" that prevailed around this place for the last 3-4 years, the completely intellectually lazy excuse that Ben got away with murder because he and Arians were friends, as if the Steelers were a Kindergarten class and not the finest organization in the NFL.

On top of the fact that "the best minds' of this place had Arians being fired practically every season he was here, had Tomlin firing him after it was clearly Rooney letting him go, and having Rooney fire him (which he didn't , he simply failed to renew his contract) for all THEIR reasons, not Rooney's, which was obviously just wanting to see a change. My favorite criticism was that we would be a so much better offense if only we didn't use a TE as a FB. Yet, what are we hearing out of camp? That Haley is using converted TE David Johnson as a FB again, and he has a leg-up on his only competitor, the kid out WVU.

I mean, it's just a steady stream of tripe...almost every prognostication has either been inaccurate, mischaracterized, or just flat-out wrong. And none of you guys will back down, no matter what evidence to the contrary is provided.

As for the Luck jersey, what I would have done is taken the jersey, left, and immediately went home and posted it on eBay. First off, it has to be some kind of authentic, even if it's just a practice jersey. Secondly, I'd have demanded that it be autographed. Thirdly, I'd have posted that I was the one who got the jersey, and that I'm selling it on eBay because I have no use for the POS. With all the publicity, people would be bidding like mad. Reserve price: $10,000.

“He (Zbikowski) saw it and said, ‘Look Coach we got to do something about
that,’” Pagano said. “I went over there. He’s a huge (Bruce) Arians fan,
obviously, and Mewelde Moore. So with a little bit of coaching and a brand new
Andrew Luck jersey, I said, ‘Look, you’ve got to put this jersey on. If you do
it, you get to stay, if not we’ve got to escort you out of here.’”

Not sure how I feel about that actually. Dude can wear any jersey he likes, but I'd love it if Tomlin did the same thing to a Ravens fan.
