Mike Wallace has an agent named Bus Cook, who has some high-profile NFL clients including Cam Newton and former great Brett Favre.

What he does not have in Mike Wallace, however, is his ear, apparently. According to sources, Wallace is driving the bus on this one. It is the wide receiver's idea to hold out of training camp and, because of it, his relationship with the Steelers has taken a new turn.

Kevin Colbert confirmed a story in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Thursday that the Steelers have suspended negotiations with Wallace and his agent for a multiple-year contract, and that their last, best offer is off the table.

"We've chosen to not progress with negotiations at this point," Colbert said Thursday. "Once we made that decision, now we're in a different mode. We'll have to address any new negotiations if we get to that point."

Wallace, your are out of your league. Get on the phone with your agent and listen to some sense. If you want to play this season, get to TC.

One of these sides will eventually budge. I'll tell you who it is. It won't be the Steelers.

If Wallace is not on board, too bad for him. They can and will go on without him.

Sanders can contribute every bit as much as Wallace if healthy this season.

The person this is hurting the most is Mike. He needs to get in there to get familar with the playbook with his teammates.

The Steelers aren't going to mess around. If they say get to TC to continue negotiation then that is exactly what it means and Mike better realize that is the only way he can get what he wants.

Wallace wont win this battle. The Steelers FO is a stubborn entity (in a good way) and will go on without Wallce if need be.

Wallace miscalculated his value to the team.

Wallace miscalculated his value.

Fixed it for you. Consider not 1 bite during the FA. Granted he was an RFA, but if Fitz or Megatron were in the same situation, someone would have attempted to nab them for a 1st round pick.

If there is any silver lining to the Wallace no show...its Manny getting more reps.

He would benefit from it mentally and physically....his injury history is well documented.

He might benefit from it financially too...he could be approaching a crossroads in his pro career. He needs to show Tomlin, Colbert & Co what he is capable of....kinda make up for some lost time from when he was hurt.
