I have to agree with the below article. Realistically, it will take too much energy to destroy this legislation. Time to start learning about it more to, hopefully, make it work in our (and our families) advantage as much as possible. Lets not get into the hospital and get a "surprise", or get our tax returns back and get a "surprise", or go for over a month without health insurance and get a "surprise".

Editorial: The goal from here on ought to be to improve the heath reform law, not undo it.
Amid all the political spin about who won and who lost as a result of Thursday's Supreme Court decision to uphold the 2010 health reform law, it's worth noting up front that the landmark ruling will benefit millions of everyday Americans.

No, the goal should be to get government out of the health care business, therefore repealing this law and replacing it with a system similar to auto or life insurance. They are a large part of the reason why costs have skyrocketed, and I can't figure out for the life of me why anyone would think more government is a good idea.

I don't know. The GOP will have to basically control all 3 major branches of the fed. gov. to pull that off... not gonna be easy.

We already have the House, and won't lose it in '12.
We need Romney and all of four Senate seats. If the GOP can't pull this off in this environment with this idiot in the WH and all the shit reigning down on us (by the way, Iraq is disintegrating because of Obama's inability to broker a deal on immunity, right next door to Syria...another real "feather in Barry's hat), then the whole shebang is for not and maybe we should let the libertarians take over and crash the ship into the iceberg...
I don't understand this hopelessness and defeatism. This is the most vulnerable incumbent President since Nixon (and he resigned...Obama doesn't have that much decency). This guy is literally destroying the US, and I'm reading now that he actually thinks he's going to be remembered as another FDR...meanwhile the GOP rank and file are acting like this fool has already won.
Nonsense. He may be the worst President ever after only 4, and 4 more will cement that...he has to go. NOW. He's vulnerable.
There are all of about 2 previsions in Hopeycare that should stay, and the rest should be scrapped and completely retooled. I guaranfuckingtee you that if we control the House, Senate and WH we will get a true healthcare fix that at least makes sense...you cannot dump 30 million people into a system that's corrupted and toxic with no way to pay for it other than taxes that will destroy small business and borrowing from China. It will not work. People will come around to that...they have to...

This asshat honestly said he thinks he'll be remembered as another FDR? What the hell? I don't think he's ONE OF the worst, he IS the worst. At least Nixon handed it over...

Reading and hearing more about the tax on medical devices: This is a field filled with innovators, tons of investment in R&D, and these are companies that need to be forward thinking and take risks on high tech gambles. 70% of these companies are not yet profitable, SO....that's where the Democrats in Congress decided they would levy new taxes to pay for Hopeycare. Listening to the CEO of a firm that is working on a mini heart pump. It's intended to cut way back the need for expensive open-heart surgery. Think about that: This is a much less invasive, much less expensive alternative to open heart surgery, and it's also safer. That means SAVINGS on healthcare expenses. So how does Congress reward?
A 2% tax. Doesn't sound like much, however, this is an industry that isn't yet profitable. The guy with this heart pump said they JUST last year turned their first profit...but this tax will cost them 4 million a year, so right back into the red. this can go one of two ways, and both are bad. Either the tax will stand, and we will kill a very important innovative segment of the market (as well as all the very good paying jobs in it), OR we will (and this is actually more likely) vote to roll back the tax, which is good for the industry, BUT will end up making us borrow more money from China to pay for Hopeycare. Congress has a long history of drawing spending lines in the sand and then............stepping right over them. I expect most or all of the taxes and funding tricks, gimmicks and mechanisms for this will ultimately be voided or rolled-back, which means costs will balloon, and, since it's the government, service will decline and prices will go up.

I hope you're right. Unfortunately IMO most people won't come around because they have no idea what's going on around them. I try not to bring up politics in conversation but when it does come up, this is the answer 99.5% of the time. "Well it took eight years for Bush to REALLY fuck everything up. Of course it's going to take time! Obama has done an OK job so far but he needs more time to fix what he was given." I have yet to be given any type of reason or answer more in depth then that in regards to hopey.

I don't understand this hopelessness and defeatism.
Pretty simple, really:
This: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57453042-503544/poll-finds-more-blame-bush-than-obama-for-economy/
Coupled with the SCOTUS upholding that lump of crap healthcare bill, coupled with a sympathetic MSM that has spent the last 3+ years giving him the kid gloves treatment and that holds him accountable for NOTHING. Not to mention Romney ain't exactly another Reagan.
Nixon in '72 is a bad example as well, seeing as how he defeated McGovern in a landslide.
I think he's getting four more years. I would gladly be wrong.

I meant Obama is the most vulnerable President since Nixon in his SECOND term. Even Clinton during his impeachment was safer and less vulnerable. It astonishes me that people still attempt to defend Hopey. Even CLOONEY could only come with "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" as a liberal rallying cry. There's just nothing of any substance in this Presidency, every measurable is down...even his foreign policy is a collection of one mess after another. He has OBL, and the rest is failure...from failure to close Gitmo, to falsely claiming Bush's exit date in Iraq was his own, to the Libyan "Leading from behind" fiasco, to mishandling Israel, to the "half-surge" and telegraphed exit date in Afghanistan, to the embarrassment in Pakistan, to his botching in Syria, to his being Putin's little bitch, I mean there is JUST NOTHING THERE.

Isn't it also at least a little ironic that Obama and Biden both voted against confirmation for Roberts back in '05? The "No" votes were a true who's who of moonbattery...besides Hopey and Biden, there was Boxer and Feinstein, Dick Durbin, Kennedy and Kerry, Harry Reid and Chuck Shumer.
