It’s not often a football player wants to spend an afternoon with a neurosurgeon, as it usually implies having baseline concussion tests or something similarly uncomfortable.

But Myron Rolle (http://www.steelersuniverse.com/team/roster/myron-rolle/5317480a-f8a0-45d9-ab8a-eeaf26f6d889/) isn’t your average football player. So when he spent a recent afternoon shadowing Steelers neurosurgeon Joseph Maroon, it came as no surprise.

“We saw about 20 patients,” said Rolle. “I have shadowed doctors before, but he is a very special doctor.”

I just want to know if this guy is going to be starter for years to come on the football field? Honestly i could care less if he can perform brain surgery or not, I dont tune in on sundays to watch brain surgery.

I'll be impressed if he makes the team as the #4 safety... I just dont think he has the upside of some others fighting for that spot. Still a great story, good guy and a read that I never get tired of.

Exactly.

With all the neg. pub. It's nice to read about some of the good guys in the league as well, especially those who have to fight to make a team.

A very smart and talented guy who's going to do great things. I just don't think that it will be in the NFL.
