The Steelers have had three times a record of 12-4 in the last 4 years

How of win will have the steelers in 2012?

I think the Steelers can have 11-5 or 12-4, but I not think they will win against the broncos

11-5 sounds about right in June

the whole division has a much more difficult schedule this time

Denver will be a revenge game- W

I can see them taking the first 8 games; no strong contention.

Don't think we can take the Giants at home unless Eli is having another Mr. Invisible season-L

Give one to Baltimore-L

One random division upset-L

I see 13-3 with that schedule.

13-3. In my opinion on paper this has the making of the best overall Steelers team in the Roethlisberger era.

I say the team goes 14-2, and seriously can start the season 8-0.

I think we go into Denver and hit Manning in the mouth. He hasn't played football in an entire season, there's going to be rust, I don't care how good you are.

I say we split with Baltimore, I am going to say both teams win at home.

I am also going to say we go to MetLife and lose a close one to the Giants.

Cincinnati won't beat us, Cleveland is a joke.

Unless a team in the AFC goes 15-1 or 16-0, the Steelers should get the #1 seed in the playoffs. Of course, this is as long as our main players stay healthy.

The last time the Steelers started 4-0 it was in 1979

The last time the Steelers were 8-0 at home, it was in 2004

Right now I will say 10-5-1. It could happen. I think we will have some adjusting to do on defense, with regards to the line and the other starting cb position. Likewise, the o'line and Ben's grasp of the new offense could be a works-in-progress. I still think we will win the division this year. Heck, with all those division games at the end of the season, a team could go into week 11 with a losing record and easily win the division.

I say 8-8 or 9-7. The transition to Haley's new offense and the learning curve of all the young lineman will sting early in the season. I think they finish strong, but I'm not thrusting high expectations on this team for 2012/2013.

Although the last time Ben was this unfamiliar with an offense....he went undefeated. lol.

Exactly why I predicted 10-6. Too many fans are automatically assuming the offense will just take off right away. It won't. Fans had better be prepared for that. The defense will still be good, though.

I'm afraid it will be hard for the offense in early season

Agreed completely. Even the defense however, could be a bit glitchy. Will lewis, brown, or allen...whoever takes the #2 CB spot be competent? Casey claims he's feeling great and says he'll be ready for camp but is that just talk? ACL injuries are serious, so will Mclendon and Taamu pick up the slack? No farrior, can foote hold it down even though he isnt a good cover ILB? Deebo still has it, but he's on the twilight of his career and Woodley is STILL inconsistent.

Exactly, at this point the defense concerns me more than the offense, specially the secondary unit.

@Denver - W: Manning looks promising but offense fails to click.
vsNew York(Jets) - W: Sanchez struggles; Tebow is worse.
@Oakland - W: Steelers struggle against the run but Carson Palmer throws the game away.
4 BYE WEEK
vsPhiladelphia - W: Mike Vick looks abysmal in his final game as the Eagles' starter.
@Tennessee - W: Jake Locker can't move the ball against the Steelers D.
@Cincinnati - L: Bengals squeak out a win.
vsWashington - W: Steelers manhandle Robert Griffin.
@New York(Giants) - W: Ben pulls out a win in this defensive struggle.
vsKansas City - W:Haley gets revenge against Pioli as the Steelers roll over Kansas City.
Baltimore - W: Joe Flacco sucks.
@Cleveland - W: Weeden and Richardson get smacked in the mouth.
@Baltimore - W: See week 11.
vsSan Diego - W: Steelers have Chargers' number.
@Dallas - W: Tony Romo hasn't seen the Steelers D in a while. It shows.
vsCincinnati - W: Steelers get revenge for early season loss.
vsCleveland - L: Steelers suffer a mild disappointment with home field already clinched.

14 - 2.

Ben: 4,000+ passing yards
Chris Rainey: 1,000+ yards rushing
Heath Miller: 80+ receptions

Why: Offense has four weeks to hit its stride. Denver, Oakland, New York Jets should all be average on defense out the gate. The early bye week this year might be a blessing in disguise as the kinks get worked out bye week 5 and Ben goes insane. I'm very familiar with Todd Haley's schemes at this point and believe me, it's no "Rosetta Stone". You're going to see both the running and passing games simplified with an emphasis on letting the players move the chains.

The defense could be a problem. If no one steps up next to Timmons and the rotation misses Hampton, things could go awry. But I have confidence in Steve McLendon and Foote/Sylvester should be able to fill the role of Farrior at least from a physical standpoint.

Forget rebuilding year, there is no reason the expectations should be anything less than title in 2012.

No way, too many weapons, and a 180lb. will never sniff 1000 yards. Im not sure i see a Warrick Dunn in there, not until i see him play. Not in this game, and not with Redman on the roster, are you thinking he'll oust Redman for playing time?

Man, this is a real tough one to reply to this early. I'm mixed on the 'new' offense and how it will react to the new coach. Defense scares me a little also. I have to wait for training camp info and reactions and see what the other teams are looking like. Way too early to make any number prediction for me so I'm just going to sit back and read your all predictions and be entertained.

1 Sun, Sep 9 @Denver 8:20 PM W Ben rules payton drools. Plus the offense has to prove it won't struggle on primetime.

2 Sun, Sep 16 vsNew York(Jets) 4:15 L the offense will sputter now that its not on prime time.

3 Sun, Sep 23 @Oakland 4:15 PM w Offense still isn't perfect, but the raiders suck!

4 BYE WEEK Ben and haley spend the entireBye week going over tape working things out.

5 Sun, Oct 7 vsPhiladelphia 1:00 PM FOX Tickets L Offense isn't on the same page yet and Ben and haley have a yelling match on the sidelines

6 Thu, Oct 11 @Tennessee 8:20 PM NFL Tickets L After a week of media hysteria and ESPN camped out at practice, the boys apologize for acting like children. And it won't end agter this game. the Steeler chicken littles will be out in full force.

7 Sun, Oct 21 @Cincinnati 8:20 PM NBC Tickets W Nothing like a game against the bungles to get the boys back on track!

8 Sun, Oct 28 vsWashington 1:00 PM FOX Tickets L it will be a hard fought game and a close one.

9 Sun, Nov 4 @New York(Giants) 4:15 PM CBS Tickets L ben shows Eli who was the first to two Lombardi's in an EPIC game. Sadly the Steelers lose in the last seconds of over time.

10 Mon, Nov 12 vsKansas City 8:30 PM Tickets W The offense come to play for Todd haley against his old team

11-5 we struggler early with some bad loses. But after little 7 arrives, we don't lose a game for the rest of the season.

Ben and haley are not BFF's, but they will have great working relatinship after some blow out arguments.

Llittle Seven is the teams good luck charm and Bens dream of being with his family with the confetti coming down at the Super bowl comes true.
