Sorry venom. NJ defeated the Rangers. The final now has the New Jersey Devils and the Los Angeles Kings.

Can this be Brodeur's swan song? Will Quick continue to impress?

I say Kings in 6. What say you?

Kings all the way. It would be great to see another "Second-Six" team win the Cup. If they do, the Blues will be the only team from the first expansion to not win the Cup (the Seals don't count, as they folded and moved to Kansas City in 1975).

The Devils must win at home

The Kings are 8-0 on the road right now...unbelievable!

LA is looking good for the Cup now. 10-0 on the road is remarkable. Just goes to show you, if a team gets hot at the right time, especially with goaltending, they can win the Cup.

Quick has been standing on his head during the playoffs

It wouldn't surprise me if the Devils got swept. The Kings have been dominant, especially on the road.

Just goes to show you that seeding does not matter. All you need to do is get hot at the right time. Pens fans should have learned that from 2009. I do know this - I won't be so worried about seeding next year. Just get into the show, and go from there.

The Kings have played extremely well and so have the Devils, but it seems that the Kings have the edge right now. This has been an interesting finals to say the least.

So I guess Carter and Richards weren't the problem after all in Philly. :chuckle: LA is looking better and better for the Cup. Game 3 and they are up 1-0. Questionable non whistle by the ref, but it is what it is.

If the Kings win today, they will be 15-2 in playoff

Since 1978 he has only the 1988 oilers they won the cup with only 2 losses

this is unbelievable

Wow. RT @EyeOnHockey: The Kings become the first team ever to take a 3-0 lead in every postseason series. They do it tonight with a 4-0 win.

Game 4, nearing the end of the 2nd period, still no score. Will this be a sweep? How about 1-0 in overtime? Imagine the celebration.

I will not be happy if the Devils somehow pull this out. The Kings better wrap this up in game 6.

Steve Bernier for Conn Smythe?

Steve Bernier of the Devils has lost his team the cup. Three PP goals thanks to his 5-minute major boarding penalty!

Does Bernier now join the ranks of all-time playoff goats?

Does Bernier now join the ranks of all-time playoff goats?

He should.

It's one thing to get beat straight up like Ralph Terry or Tim Wakefield or Earnest Byner. Even not making a play like Scott Norwood or Bill Buckner should be forgiven.

But killing your team's chances with pure stupidity is unforgivable.

Congrats to the Kings. 1st Cup ever. Sure pays to have a hot goalie.
