Steelers Linebacker LaMarr Woodley talked with Joe Starkey of Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN about the importance of leadership in an NFL locker room with the Steelers losing several of theirs during the off-season.

Woodley also talked about the injuries he played through last year, saying he was only about 65 or 70 percent in the playoff loss to the Broncos..........

Might as well cut him.Hell why stop there, cut everyone who made a mistake that day. I think Harrison and Ike are high up on the list as well.

Woodley was the NFL defensive player of the month for October. Prior to his injury he was in the argument for the DPOY. He not only was getting sacks, he also was pressuring quarterbacks into other mistakes with hurries. This is indisputable. His injury against the Patriots was a season altering event, both for him and the Steelers defense as a whole. Period.

*Cough* ; he sacked Tom Brady twice too. He also has 11 sacks in 8 career playoff games. Including 3 in two Super /Bowl's. I don't recall Kolb or Gabbert taking snaps from center in those games.*cough*

 If I say what i want to right now I'll end up with a suspension.

Woodley had his best season of his career before his injury

If Woodley was not injured in 2012, I am very confident he will be a very good season

So your point is Woodley was having a poor season prior to his injury in 2011? :dizzy:

Just don't see why everyone is enamored with his sack numbers, “AFC Defensive Player of the Month” for October, and Its his best season of his career? Damn the injury :doh2:

The game against the Texans was a bad game for Woodley

It happens to all players to have a bad game......Even lawrence taylor has already had a bad game.

Woodley was incredible in the next four games after the bad game against the Texans.

Woodley was definitely on his way to the best season of his career, but injuries derailed him. One bad game does not diminish that, because if we're going to go by occasional bad games to judge a player's worth, then there are a whole lot of guys in the league who are complete crap, including some great players on our own team. I'm not sure where the confusion is here. And note - up until last season, I was one of Woodley's bigger critics, so no "homer" label here.

Total load of crap! Woodly didn't have a great game against the Texans, and obviously he took a bad angle against Foster on that play*. But he wasn't as awful as is commonly believed that day game either. He hurried Shaub into two critical incompletions on 3rd down plays that helped keep the Texans score down to 17.

* Or Foster being a superstar back made a great play. Sometimes the other guy deserves credit more than our guy's ) deserve blame. We as Steeler fans get pissed when John Harbaugh refuses to credit the Steelers when we beat the Ravens, and puts the loss on the refs, bad luck, etc... well the knife cuts both ways. It's equally classless of us to refuse to acknowledge a superior effort from one of our foes. On this particular play Foster made a tremendous cutback. There's probably not 3 other backs in the league that could have broke that run the way he did.
