Vice President Joe Biden admitted to a group of supporters in New Hampshire this afternoon that the President would have been able help the economy "much, more" if the Tea Party hadn't taken the House.
Biden showed the audience the Obama campaigns chart of job growth during the President's first term in office and accused the Tea Party for stalling the recovery, because of the debt limit fight.
"Imagine where we'd be if the Tea Party hadn't taken control of the House of Representatives," Biden said adding that they were "a group set on obstructionism."
"They have one overwhelming goal: prevent President Obama from a second term, with no - apparently no care of the consequences to the economy," he said. Biden insisted that the president persevered in spite of their obstruction and demonstrated "important progress" that could be measured.

I would blame the uncertainty in the economy and its fallout from poor leadership.

Fortunately for Biden most of his constituents are even less intelligent than him...

I am baffled by the thought process of liberals sometimes.

Wait, I thought raising the debt ceiling was a failure of leadership. I swear I heard some ebil racist teabagger Senator from Illinois say that in 2006. Can't remember who it was though...I guess he was just trying to ruin the economy so Bush would get blamed.

So when Democrats held the majority in the house and senate along with the white house, Biden is saying they couldn't have got their stuff done then?
There is a reason why it's better to have the other party controlling at least one house of congress if not both while the other has the white house. No guarantees that the stupid thing gets done.

OK I'll be the one to say it. Don't go Suit. There's no need to. I understand why you feel you were dealt with poorly. But at the same token we know the moderators on this board are all good people and they felt as if they were doing right by the board in the way they handled you.
I've made my opinion on what happened known to both you and them, and I'll leave it at that.
But the end product is this. You enjoy this board, There's no reason to leave due to a difference of opinion with people you know to be good, decent, well intended people. I don't think any of the moderators want you to leave, nor do I think you want to leave. So I think you should at least give it another go and see where it leads.
Ok that's the last I'll have to say on this issue on the open forums.

Again, I appreciate the sentiment, but it won't, and cannot, ever be the same. I'm a "marked man" now (as evidenced by the fact that my initial post regarding all this was removed COMPLETELY, and with no explanation, ostensibly based on my actually having the audacity and temerity to question the "logic and reasoning" behind my banning). So, besides me having to tiptoe through the tulips and be superdy-duper nice to everyone (which ain't ever gonna happen), I'm also subject to outright censorship now, as well as the fact that every single post will be under heavy scrutiny by not only the mods, but also the super-sensitive silly sods whom I've managed to piss off over the years.
Hell, this post will probably be removed as well.
So, no...I'll still read here for awhile, and pick-up PM's (unless I'm outright banned for posting this), but my days are , for the most part, done here. It's for the best...

Since we're putting it all out there, I'd like take this opportunity to air our side as well.
You're not a "marked man." You are, however, subject to the same CoC rules as everyone else when you post here. The primary reason your thread was deleted was because you essentially called out the moderation crew and the ownership of this board, and rather unfairly, IMO.
You claimed you were given a vacation for a single post. Wrong, you were given a vacation due to multiple warnings within the same thread to stop taking personal shots at another member which went unheeded. You stated that you never saw those warnings, but I honestly do not see how you missed them. They were as clear as day in that thread. For the record, the other party was doing the same and was also duly warned and then stopped doing so. You, unfortunately, did not. Hence the week's vacation.
I hope this explanation satisfies your question as to the reason for the temporary ban.

Actually, we can't. We are bound by the same CoC that you are. If you have a problem with the CoC, then you have no option but to leave.
We fully realize we will not be everybody's cup of tea, c'est la vie.
I appreciate the time you have spent here, and you are currently free to continue posting here. However, you, me and everybody else here must abide by the CoC and above all, treat one another with respect. The only place on this forum where the rules are relaxed is in the Beat Down forum.

So I take it you guys will have a full appreciation of Roger Goodell's position the next time he suspends or fines a Steeler for a slight deviation of the rules?

I would fully appreciate Goodell if he was consistent.
