Hey moved up big time!

Count Steeler

Damn hamstring. The way he was starting to play, he could have cracked the top 50.

Awesome video!

he had 7.5 sacks in four games during the injury of Harrison.

I think he would have had a chance to win the defensive player of the year if Woodley was healthy

He probably should have been rated higher

wow, #63. Considering how much he was hampered by that hamstring and rendered a stagnant player for so many games, im surprised

He will be five other steelers players in this list(Ben,Pouncey,Polamalu,Wallace,Harrison)

i'd be pretty surprised if Pouncey made it. Don't think he's deserving yet. Of course, I would like to emphasize that 'yet'

im actually not sure about Pouncey, just because Jake Long and Joe Thomas were already on...i think?

Pouncey will def make it. Ryan Kalil made it.

Its Wallace that won't make it.

I saw on nfl.com at the end of April that Pouncey would be in the top 100(as Wallace,Woodley,Polamalu,Roethlisberger,Harrison,T ebow,Flacco,Kuhn,etc...)

If Long and Thomas were really on already then there's simply no way Pouncey should be there, otherwise that list is bogus

Yeah, imagine what his ranking would be if he were to hustle??

Cant imagine where it would be if he were actually blocked by an Offensive Tackle and not Owen Daniels or a Fullback :poop:

Are there really any posters who actually understand football who are still saying Woodely is overrated?

True.......in this video I think the Vikings Phil Loadholt is really a FB that Woodley jams back into the pocket and takes the fumble for a TD.

All those players in the NFL that voted him #63 best player must know that he only gets blocked by FB's. :tt03:

If they think he should be ranked 95 instead of 63, I have no issue with that.

But if they think he sucks and should be replace by Jason Worilds or that Cliff Avril is better.....I think they dont understand the game other than what they learn on Madden 2012.

I know they went 6-2 without him. The only top 100 list he belongs on for 2011 is for Salary

Sometimes with all the defensive talent we have, you have to take a risk/gamble and try to use the TE and/or FB to block someone to gain an advantage elsewhere. Lets not pretend that he hasn't also abused OTs as well. And a fair amount of them. He also usually does a great job setting the edge against the run and is adequate in coverage, which for him is good because he is like 270 pounds.

If you haven't seen him get sacks on OTs, not sure what you been watching the last 4 years.

Then he would be worthy of 63.

I guess Gildon was good too...lol

Fans enamored with sacks rather than an all-around game. Woodley showed improvement last season. Let's see if he can keep it up.

He's better than Gildon ever thought of being. Besides sacks Woodley gets a ton of qb pressures.

And qb pressures are a huge stat. Often they force results way worse than sacks for the offense.

If Ben gets sacked on a play where David Johnson or Heath Miller got beat, does it still count?

I'm thinking we might just get the down over as apparently the league has changed the rule so that sort of sack no longer is credited. :noidea:

. :noidea: Not to the Woodley haters it doesnt. But if he beats an OT like Phil Loadholt.....it only counts if it happened in 2011 and not 2010.

Yeah, but not the bank tellers huh?

Just think, he was a second round pick. How do you think fellow second round pick Jason Worilds compares to him? Maybe should rank Worilds #75.
