Who do you think the Steelers will drafted tomorrow?

Kendricks, Massie, Chapman would probably be my favorites. All are probably better than where we are selecting but hey, so was DeCastro :chuckle:

My list wish list...

Oline:Jonathan Martin / Corday Glenn / Amini Silatolu
Scat back:Lamar miller / Lamichael James/ Isaih Pead
Def need: Alaemda ta,amu/ Courtney upshaw / zack brown/ trumaine Johnson / chase mannifield

Any of those guys I'll be happy.... Kinda hoping some of the online studs drop to us so we can solidify they line.

I think Ta'amu, Chapman, Schwartz or if they somehow like Kendricks. I cant help but think Ta'amu will be gone and they take Schwartz or Chapman in the 2nd.

Then, in the 3rd they look at an ILB, Pead or the NT if they didnt get him in the 2nd.

I'd love for Kendricks to be there in the 2nd.

I could still see the pick being Brandon Brooks or Silatolu.

I could still see the pick being Brandon Brooks or Silatolu.I think its tough to go guard and then back it up with another guard. Maybe an OT like Schwartz or Osemele, but interior line isnt a premium position. You get one blue chip and one solid guy like Foster and its all good.

I really hope it isnt Kendricks, but that normally means it will be. I curse my own picks.

Colbert just said he'd have no issue taking another guard in the second round. While that's the PC thing to say, I believe it. If they have a guard rated at the top of the board at 56 I don't doubt they select him.

And I think guard is still a bigger need than tackle, even with DeCastro.

I agree, lets plug up that last guard position, but it may be smarter to draft a linebacker this next round.

If value is equal there is no doubt I'd take the ILB. But if the guard is rated higher, I don't just take the linebacker because we selected DeCastro in the first.

Worthy? I really love Chapman like the rest of you.

But the obvious, albeit generic, answer is the guy that offers the best value. BPA and that usually puts you in a good spot.

Tamu Chapman or Worthy

one has to be there, and we simply won't pass on any. Hoping for Chapman though....

Looking at who visited, I don't see them taking NT at #2. All the guys they had in outside of Poe are projected mid-to-late rounders. Unless I'm missing someone, Guyton and Fangupo are mid-rounders, and Hughes and Hicks are late round/UDFA guys. They may not take NT until later...

I'm hoping for Kendricks to still be sitting there.

Why don't you like Kendricks? Who do you like at ILB?

I watched some games of Cal and he stands around and lets the play come to him. When confronted with an O lineman blocking him in the run game he stands there like a deer in the headlights and gets blown over.

Google up the Stanford game and watch it........its not just DeCastro and Jon Martin blocking him, but their no name RT just pushes him in the endzone from the 5 yard line for a TD. Doestn play with leverage, but puts up good combine numbers. Not a fan, but Steelers could still pick him.

I like Kendricks because he's a high motor guy, and, most importantly (and this is why I think the Steelers like him), he makes splash plays. In that he reminds me of Woodley...he may disappear at times, but when he shows up, he shows up in a big way. Oh...and he's FAST. He can cover RB's and TE's...

In his career, he had 36.5 TFL, including 13.5 sacks, a FF, seven fumble recoveries, 4 picks (including a pick six), 5 pass breakups and even a blocked punt. Kid's a playmaker...

I did read somewhere that the Falcons covet him...and they pick exactly ONE pick ahead of us tonight.

That is very true, but I think they will go OT if a good one is there. Sam Baker isn't cutting it.

I like James-Michael Johnson, I have early and will stick with him. I feel that if a player like Kelechi Osemele that can play both RT and RG is there he could be our pick.

Why? They don't need another high round DE pick...later rounds i wouldnt have a problem with.

Did they not learn their lesson from the Sansmokio fiasco?

I'm okay with him late second. When he was on, he was super solid. The Steelers vetted him...I'm guessing he competes with Colon at RT.

They probably did. They think they can handle him.
