Yeah, saw this in another article earlier. Pope hasn't put it together but had a ton of talent in college and hasn't been a complete failure in the league. He has underacheived but is a solid option. I'd like to see him in camp.

We have signed veteran tight end Leonard Pope, a former 3rd round draft pic of the Cardinals, to a one-year contract.

Steelers signed TE Leonard Pope to a one-year contract.
Wherever Todd Haley lands, Pope is sure to follow. The two have been together in Arizona, Kansas City, and now Pittsburgh. Pope will add veteran depth behind Heath Miller with Weslye Saunders suspended four games. Despite impressive measurables, Pope has never cleared 250 yards in six NFL seasons.

Honestly don't know anything about him. Can he block?

And does a suspended player count against the roster count, like Wesley Saunders? Id hate to lose a player with good potential over this signing.
