Will he or won’t he? What’s a Ravens offseason without some drama surrounding Ed Reed’s future?
Hours after general manager Ozzie Newsome reiterated that the team expects Reed to be its starting free safety in 2012, the enigmatic future Hall of Famer said in a Wednesday night interview on 105.7 The Fan that he feels disrespected by the Ravens -- enough to make him question playing this season.
“I plan on playing. Everybody in the world knows that plans tend to change,” said Reed, who is in the final year of his contract. “I’ve got some unfinished business. I got a lot on my mind I’ve been thinking about and the truth of the matter is that it’s about respect. It’s about getting respect and it’s a business.”

lol that was taken horribly out of context. anyone who wants a one sentence summary of that article without reading it, here it is: Reed is fine.
He is 33 years old. The team is waiting it out. One year left and then he plays for the Jaguars.

Can't blame him. He is just showing he fits in with the team by acting like crybaby with low character

He really wants to play this year because it's the first year he doesn't have to worry about Hines de-cleating him every play.. Plus his neck is just starting to feel better from all the punishment Hines gave him.. This is probably the final Ray Lewis, Ed Reed show and he wants to be a part of it.. I could see both of them not finishing the season...

This is a dance. Every year, every player in some kind of contract situation, or wanting a raise, plays the "disrespect" card.
Just do a Google search for "NFL player feels disrespected":
Matt Forte feels disrespected.
McNabb feels disrespected.
Marion Barber feels disrespected.
Hines Ward feels disrespected (during his contract situation)
Whatever.

It should be an incentive laiden deal where he gets respect every year he doesn't disappear in the playoffs
