Them and the Eagles.

The Steelers had not played against the Eagles in 2009 and 2010

They reason they play some of the same teams in preseason each year is to cut down on travel time.

Yep. Dont ever know why, but I hope it lasts forever so I can go to it every 2 years.

Its always the last one too.

Probably because it's close. It's rare to see preseason games against opponents who are very far apart.

hmm...thought we usually played the Redskins too...that shows how much I pay attention to the preseason.

I think some of these teams have an agreement to always play each other. Also its expensive to fly out 80 man rosters in the preseason, gotta be cost effective.

Wouldn't it be something if Luck goes all Tebow on us when we play Indy. It would sure sprout more debate in the Arians saga.

Won't mean a thing. I've seen dozens of "The next Joe Montana's" in the preseason, and they end up out of the NFL by the end of preseason.

Won't help that we'll be running second-stringers in a vanilla, no-blitz defense 95% of the way, too.

If it does happen, it will also predictably lead to a number of "woe is me, we suck and will be lucky to go 6-10" complaints, despite those facts.

What would be funny (as irony goes) is if the Colts deploy a fullback and play smash-mouth......

What's more likely is that he will play the same offense he's always played, call all the same plays he's always called, they will work, and the revisionist history bunch will exclaim :"Why didn't he call those plays like that when he was HERE?"

The whole gameplan against the Eagles in preseason will be vanilla, o and d. Because we also play them in the regular season.

Yep.

Remember last preseason where Rex Grossman and Tim Hightower gamed all over the Steelers in Washington? Yeah.

It happens every preseason. The Steelers go vanilla and crap teams like Buffalo and Washington put on a show at home to make themselves look better than what they really are. Then regular season rolls around the crap teams stay crap.
