McLendon is a capable starter if Tomlin says he is... I do know this, he is a great man... Talk with him on facebook all the time! Hope he starts and makes the pro bowl..

I hope that could becomes a will
if he really trusts McLendon then let Casey have the extra month to rest and heal

McClendon will get first crack over Hood. Would have to find the exact comments but Tomlin or a player said that the preference is to keep Hood at DE. Which makes the most sense anyway. He's been a terrific job there, don't move him unless you have to.
I think this also shows that you no longer have to start a 330 pounder at NT in order to be successful.

If the Steelers draft a NT, will Tomlin be accused of lying like he did in the "retirement" of Arians?

I'm honestly surprised Casey wasn't cut like some of the others.

If he wouldn't have taken the paycut, he may have been. Lack of depth behind him was probably another factor as well.

You never cut a Hampton.
