That's a good move for them. Last year it was Frank Gore and a whole bunch of nothing if he got hurt. His backup had pretty decent numbers for a backup, but I don't think he goes anywhere if he as their only option.

I think this is a good move by the 9'ers as well, Gore needs some help
Jacobs runs high like Mendy and his effort is debatable. He might show up for the playoffs if they make it.

I agree .... I think he is one of the worst short yardage big-backs of consequence that I have ever seen.

Hes done, his mouth and attitude will run him out of the league.

He'll be third on the depth chart. Kendall Hunter is debatably as effective as Gore. Jacobs will serve as the ram when Gore gets hurt.

Jacobs has the build to be a hall-of-fame running back and it looked like he would be in his first couple seasons. I don't know what happened to the guy, but losing his job and not being retained doesn't speak well.
The Giants got tired of his whining and selfish attitude. They built a SB team and this bitch doesn't want to give his all.

His knees are shot. He's probably got another two years left in the league.

Looks like Tarzan, Runs like Jane.
I wanted Jacobs on the Steelers years ago, but he's one of the softest big backs out there.

Well put... Never seen a back so big run so small...

Wow that's a deep stable of runningbacks in San Francisco. Frank Gore can do it all, Kendall Hunter is quick, and Anthony Dixon and Brandon Jacobs are really going to be bludgeoning defenses when they get tired.
