How are they going to sign Manning?

That is what I was about to say. They would need to cut all the ex Steelers. Can't have that. :nono:

Denver is in prime position.

Oakland looks like they slashed about 30+ mil since last I saw.

the cards are expected to cut lt levi brown.. and that will save them like 13.5 mill.. and then some other players to sign manning.. and i bet fitz wouldnt mind restructuring his contract to land manning

Yeah, kudos to them for cutting off so much fat. Of course, the roster is pretty depleted now (Van Dyke top corner, no Kevin Boss, is Wimbley gone?).

Glad to see our cap space has increased. If the FO continues to cut people (which they probably will) then that figure will continue to drop.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Harrison restructure soon in order to save some more $. That should put us in pretty good shape if he does.

I thought I read somewhere that the 49ers had a lot more space than that.

I don't believe so, no. I think I saw a figure earlier that after factoring in tenders and the extra 1.6 million, we're about 4.5 million under.

The Bears can make a big play for Wallace. 19th pick rookie wont make half the impact he can.

I did a little looking yesterday, and I didn't see anything for Wimbly... However, they did indeed cut Kevin Boss, Chris Johnson, Hiram Eugene and Stanford Routt.
Their biggest saving looks to be the restructures of Carson Palmer, Richard Seymour and Michael Huff. Those alone saved over 20 mil against this years cap.

Looks like a bunch of secondary now gone, so the Raiders are naturally going after WR's in this years draft. :chuckle:
