Did anyone think they'd be interested in him? I don't see a place on this roster for a player like that. He has a sour attitude and doesn't bring much talent to the runningback position.

Doesn't matter. He's a "fat back," therefore Steelers fans love him.

Nah, hes washed and hes SOFT. He will last 2 years tops. He was lucky to be such a good O line of the Giants for 07 and 08.

This is the first I've heard of Jacobs and the Steelers in the same sentence. I guess that says a lot.

They're saving their money for Peyton Manning. :chuckle:

He may be big but he is soft. He falls down at the first point of contact. Not really a bruising type of RB.

First Plax and now Jacobs. Everybody wants to play for the Steelers. How long until the Manning rumor begins?

You mean the Giants and NY tend to take a lot of former Steelers. Ryan Clark was a former Giant himself, to be honest, theres a trend why the Gmen and Steelers have been so succesful this past decade.

Agreed .... I don't remember the exact numbers, but he has a pretty has "turrible - just turrible" short yardage numbers. He runs too straight up, and goes down instantly when contacted.

He didn't say nothing about Joseph Addai I wouldn't mind having him in the stables for us. For the right price I say bring him in then we would be set.

The Colts have released Joseph Addai.

The Steelers should look into his price tag. And if it’s a bargain, they should purchase.

The first time Addai carried the ball was in the “Manning Bowl” of 2006. Indianapolis had just drafted him out of LSU.Taking the hand-off from Peyton Manning on a stretch play going left, he gained 8 yards and smacked Gibril Wilson on
his way out of bounds.

The physicality Addai displayed on that run made an impression.

Saw a rumor that Joseph Addai might be a target to replace Memo and help Redman until Mendenhall is ready to go.

I would like to see him in a celebirty death match with Giselle.

I think it would be close.

Wouldn't mind Tolbert, Bush or Addai. I've always had a thing for Bush...lol. Never really thought he had a fair chance in Oakland.

Tolbert is another guy I really like.

I think Bush is out of our price range. And he's a tad overrated to me. But I'd still love to see him here.

I'm still rooting for Batch to fill that 3rd down back role, but Addai is certainly the experienced player so I wouldn't mind if we got him

definitely over MeMo

He might want to take back what he said to Rex Ryan then.

I like Mike Tolbert, but he will go to the highest bidder which won't be the Steelers.

What about Le'Ron McClain? He is a good blocking FB. Could sign him to a one year deal. If they are looking for a quicker RB then perhaps Steve Slaton.

I am hoping Batch comes on strong and shows no signs of the ACL injury

Why would we want Jacobs? Redman fills that lane, and the Giants were DEAD LAST in YPC last year. He's also been dinged up over the years.

Addai is intriguing, specially if we are going to toss the ball to RB's a little more. But only on the cheap. He's really been banged up over the years.

Wait. Running backs still play in the nfl? Haha jk

Addai would be awesome for the right price

Jacobs runs his mouth too much plus as we know aging rb's don't last long these days.
