I like this Shutdown.

I's not easy to let Hightower go....and Poe to Cincinnatti...ugh.

I would be happy with Glenn but would not be upset with Hightower or a NT either.

Glenn vs. Hightower would be an awful decision to have to make. And I really think the defensive front is a bigger priority than the offensive line at this point. But I just feel Glenn is too good to pass on if things fell this way. That being said, if we did go this route in the first round, I wouldn't touch another o-linemen for the next four selections (barring a ridiculous value).

I feel like Glenn would add a lot to the roster. Gilbert/Glenn/Pouncey would be a fantastic left side of the offensive line. If Colon stayed healthy and we played the hot hand at right guard, the line would be very solid. I'm not quite as high on Glenn as a tackle, but that versatility would be great to have as well. Especially considering the state of Colon's health the last couple of seasons.

Guard in round 1 seems to make the 2nd round pick more critical.

What are the chances Chapman even sees the field this upcoming season behind McCledon and Fat Casey.
I think Derek Wolfe has a better chance of coming in the rotation late in games . Its not like the Defense in constantly in the 3-4

I like Wolfe, but if I had a chance to take either he or Chapman straight up I take Chapman every time. I think Chapman is a beast; pro bowl potential. Bringing Casey back just makes me think the Steelers should select Chapman even more... If the value is right of course. It would be a good situation to baby that knee of his in.

I would be happy with Wolfe as well, for sure. I think he would be a great spot play as a rookie and would probably do just fine full-time too, at both Nose or End. But I'm worried his performance at the combine is really going to push his stock higher than he's worth.

Ok...first of all...thanks for putting previous picks and their positions/etc...that makes it a whole lot better for those of us who dont know the positions and we can see what you did in your last one.

I actually wrote down a couple notes on the first round (the second I'm not really going to comment on much).

DeCastro THAT high? While I think he's awesome...i would be absolutely shocked if he went inside the top 10.

Same with Zach Brown...I've seen him mocked in the 2nd round most of the time...maybe late first but that high?

No WR for Chicago??? They have made it known they are looking for WRs...its their biggest need period!

Upshaw falling that much?

A 1st rd QB for Denver? What? And that QB a first rounder?

LB Luke K. falling that far and past the Steelers? I would think after the combine he moved UP some.

The Steelers picks...I have no complaints about...the 2 biggest needs are filled.

I think thats it....

Maybe they put in an offer for Wallace. I don't their needs but they have the cap.

If the Steelers were to select Hightower they would need to put him in Timmons' spot and then slide Timmons to Farrior's position.

He probably won't go that high, but he's worth it. I view him as a top 5 talent in this pool of players. The fact that he is a guard will most likely push him down the board, but I would be surprised if he makes it past pick 15.

I don't really look at many other mock drafts or big boards. I look some in January then pretty much evaluate everything else from what I see when reviewing games, what I talk about with my friends and what I read from users on these boards. To me, Brown is a first round prospect. I think he's a fantastic athlete and would be a great fit at outside line backer for the Eagles. It just makes sense to me. I'll take into account that you think I have him too high, that may influence what happens with him in my mocks down the line if I hear more opinions supporting yours.

Maybe. I just can't bring myself to do it. I've mocked a receiver to the bears for what feels like the last five years and it never happens. Doesn't mean it won't, but at some point you have to take tendencies into account.

Upshaw falling that much?

Probably not, but I think Mercilus is on the rise some. That's just the way the pass rushers fell.

A 1st rd QB for Denver? What? And that QB a first rounder?

Brandon Weeden would be a top ten pick if he was 23 years old.

Kuechly is a bit of a question mark for me. The guy was a tackling machine at BC but I don't think he is a great athlete. But, as you pointed out, he did fairly well at the combine. I don't like the entire package when it comes to Kuechly, but I'm low on him. I need to figure out how to push him up the board some despite my own reservations. However, I only see him in the middle of the first round maybe - not a high end selection.

Glad you like the picks

I think that Dontari Poe will be drafted by the Chiefs.

I like that call. Kelly Gregg played pretty well for them in the middle last year but he's been around for well over a decade and I believe had some injury problems this past season. 11 is definitely a potential spot for Poe to come off the board.

Just curious, what do you guys like for Poe's pro position?

I have him best suited for 34end, 34nose then 43tackle but I really haven't seen as much of him as I would have liked. Any opinions on this? Especially for anyone who has seen more Memphis than I have.

I think anywhere on the 3-4 DL he'd be great...and I think he could be used to his full potential there. 4-3 DT...eh...he could do it I'm sure...but I think he has the better potential in a 3-4. Now I'm no expert...this is just from what I've read/seen/etc.
