View Full Version : Nike 2012 Jerseys Update...
Not sure what forum this thread belongs to, so I will post this in the Steelers Talk forum as well. I was notified from a store in St. Clairsville, Ohio called Velocity that a complete line of Nike NFL 2012 will be available in April! This includes t-shirts and jerseys for men, women and children. Can't wait to see what the new Steelers and other team jerseys will look like! Here is the link to Velocity: http://www.wearvelocity.com/nike-nfl-2012

I doubt there will be any changes to the jerseys other than ones that teams have already announced due to logo and/or color changes. The difference will be that instead of the Reebok logo it will be a Nike Swoosh logo on the jerseys somewhere (chest and/or sleeve).
The National Football League and the member clubs are not the University of Oregon. You're not going to see Nike just doing what they want with the team's uniforms like Oregon allows Nike to do what they want. The teams will still have full control over their uniform design, and that will never change.

I guess the only change is that the jerseys will go from being made in China/Taiwan into being Made in Indonesia.

I sure wish they would go back to being manufactured in Berlin, Wisconsin!
I got more info and here it is- a quote from a user named Chazberg (from a thread in jerseycentral.org): "FWIW, I was talking to a guy at the local jersey shop the other day, and he mentioned that the new jerseys were going to have a slimmer fit, similar to the Edge jerseys in the NHL. This excites me, as a skinny guy. Also, I'm sure most of you have seen this, a note from a sports retailer posted over on Uni Watch:"

Nike will be releasing three tiers of jerseys. They will be known as Game, Elite, and Pro. Their price points will be $100, $135, and $250. Game jerseys will be equivalent to what is currently called a replica. It will have all screen-printed numbers and lettering. The Elite will then move you to what is now known as premier, which will have the tackle twill lettering and numbering. This is what they are currently selling for $100 as a Pro Line jersey, which is why I have my doubts as to this being the Nike product. The Pro level will be equivalent to the current authentic level, which is going to be a close replication of what is actually worn on the field.
