Arians should be ranked #16. This man must think the bubble screen is the best play in the NFL

I think a self examination of life's priorities is in order.........this stuff is really getting beyond ridiculous. The articles and the posting of them.

Too f'ing hilarious! They all say that Arians sucks when he's with the Steelers but as soon as he signs with the Colts they slobber all over him.

I couldn't be happier for Arians and certainly wish him all the best.

Regardless of how Indy does I am confident he will be well liked.

Lol. Let's wait and see shall we? This is like grading a team's draft class before they've even hit the field.

Based on press speculation of Haley and Ben's relationship, meddling Art II, and that no good Kevin (I'm not Stephen) Colbert, Haley should be ranked dead last. Pitchforks and torches should be gathering soon.

Why should this offseason be any different?

Just keep 'em covered and camp will be here soon enough. :chuckle:
least I hope so.

Why bother playing the season? Just give the SB to the Packers or Patriots. Now we are talking player safety, no injuries.

Power rankings are such a reliable sourse of information. I would love to know what percentage of them even come close to predicting success. I also wonder how many of those doing the judging have a bias.

In a nut shell power rankings don't mean squat.

String Vinnie up from the nearest tree! Blasphemy! Heads asplode!

The irony is that if this had Haley at #1 and Arians at #7, the same people disclaining that "polls like these mean nothing" would be hailing it as proof positive about just how right they really are.

You're right. People usually choose affirmation over information, no matter what their flavor in life. Nothing strange or wrong about it, as long as they don't close their mind to information contrary to their preconceived views as new information develops. As of now the subject matter of Arains vs Haley, as to who was the better hire is strictly a matter of opinion. My personal opinion is they could both prove to be solid hires. Three years from now I think both organizations will be happy with their decisions. But really it may take that long to pronounce a "victor" if there really is such a thing in a situation like this. So I'm not going to get too worked up about one man's opinion if it conflicts with my own at this stage of things.

I will say this however. Given the track record and history of the Steelers I find it remarkable that their hiring of Haley would be given such a low mark by this writer. My opinion the writer either has a personal prejudice that they've brought to the table or is grossly misinformed. In other words just the fact that it was a Steelers hire should place it in the top 3 or 4 if you apply a minimal amount of common sense. To me this smacks of ranking a new Mercedes sports car below a new Dodge Charger.

I never actually commented on the opinion either...and I do take some umbrage with Haley being so low. I think they overmitigated his success as an OC with Arizona by saddling too much blame for KC's poor offensive showing last year...and he was the HC, not the OC there. It's also a might bit strange because Haley has shown that he can run the football effectively, which should have popped up on this guys radar as being "a great fit" for Pittsburgh.

Nope, not in this corner. Can't stand these lists and power rankings. They mean absolutely nothing.

In fact, should not even consider making a judgment on Arians or Haley until at least game 8.

The Sporting News owes me two minutes of life I wasted reading that POS article. Brian Schottenheimer ranked #10??? He is worthless.
